Why Mists of Pandaria needs addons
MoP added a talent system overhaul, pet battles, and Challenge Modes on top of the existing UI, and the base interface never fully caught up. There is still no built-in damage meter, no way to compare item stat weights without doing the math by hand, and no in-game tool for tracking Challenge Mode timers beyond the basic display. Because MoP introduced the Monk class and carried reforging over from Cataclysm, secondary stat priorities such as hit, expertise, and mastery still need to be balanced on gear, and a few addons from this era exist specifically to handle stat comparisons and gear scoring. How to install MoP addons
- Download the addon as a .zip file from its page on Warperia.
- Extract it with 7-Zip, WinRAR, or the extractor built into Windows.
- Open your WoW installation folder, then Interface, then AddOns.
- Move the extracted folder into AddOns. The folder containing the .toc file needs to sit directly inside AddOns, not nested inside another folder.
- Start the game and click the AddOns button on the character selection screen to confirm the addon is enabled.
