Weak Buffs

Looking for a simple alternative to WeakAuras ("Weak Auras") for buff reminders? Weak Buffs shows icons when your chosen buffs are missing. It focuses on buff tracking and does not support WeakAuras imports or scripts.

Weak Buffs is a lightweight missing-buff reminder addon for WoW Forever. Choose the buffs you care about, and their icons appear when they are missing from your character.

Getting started

Type /wb to open settings. Enter a buff name such as Demon Armor or Well Fed, then click Add buff. Select a row to change its account-wide or combat-only settings. Expand Display settings to resize, preview, or move your icons.

Names must match the full buff name in your client's language. Different names are tracked separately. Learned buff icons are shared across characters. If an icon cannot be resolved, the reminder displays the buff name until an icon becomes available.

Compatibility

This beta targets WoW Forever (interface 16001). Other WoW clients are not currently supported.

Forever can restrict aura information, especially in combat. If the addon cannot complete a readable buff scan, reminders hide until information becomes available. A hidden reminder does not guarantee its buff is active.

No WeakAuras or external libraries are required. Icons are reminders rather than casting buttons.

The installed folder is named MissingBuffs to preserve settings from earlier versions; the addon appears in-game as Weak Buffs.
