Waylaid Forever

Waylaid Forever helps you figure out which crates and writs are worth doing, what you need to fill them, and where to take your deliveries.

I made it so prices, crafting requirements, and delivery information could all be in one place in-game.

The crate and writ lists show:

• The price of the crate or writ, the required goods, and the total cost.
• Value ratings to help compare your options.
• How many required items you already have.
• Item tooltips when you hover over the icons.
• Shift-click searching while the auction house is open.

If a crate accepts several different bundles, you only need to fill one. The addon highlights the cheapest option it has enough price and stock information for.

You can switch between buying goods and crafting them. Crafting shows the materials, professions, and skill levels needed, along with whether your character meets the requirements.

For prices, it can use supported Auctionator or Auctioneer scan data, or you can run the built-in scanner manually at the AH. There’s also optional price sharing with other addon users. Prices depend on the scans available, so check the actual listing before buying.

The travel compass helps plan your writ deliveries using known flight paths, boats, zeppelins, your Hearthstone, and eligible mage or engineering teleports. With multiple writs, it compares delivery orders and travel options, including whether saving a teleport for later makes more sense.

The map shows your remaining journey, including recorded connecting flights and walks between stops. Walking directions use dotted lines to point you toward your destination. Travel times are estimates, and the addon warns when flight information is missing. Open a flight master’s map to update its routes—no flight purchase needed.

The UI includes Horde and Alliance themes, adjustable window sizes, larger text, high contrast, and reduced motion. No other addons are required.

Currently in beta. I’m testing with guildies and working through routing, pricing, and addon compatibility. If something breaks or doesn’t make sense, let me know what happened. Screenshots and error messages help a lot.
