Utility Helper: Forever
Keep useful class abilities within reach in WoW: Forever. Utility Helper: Forever highlights situational utilities such as pet care, dispels, interrupts, crowd control and emergency recovery. It does not provide a damage rotation or cast automatically: you choose what to use.
Useful abilities, together
- Utilities for Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior, plus supported racial abilities and recovery items. Only learned abilities appear.
- Separate clickable utility buttons and individual keybinds during combat, plus a dedicated out-of-combat bandage reminder. Several utilities can light up at once.
- Compact grid or Free layout, with movement, resizing and saved per-character settings.
- Adjustable inactive visibility from 0% to 100%. Active abilities appear at full brightness with an optional animated WoW proc border: a gold flare and moving, sparkling outline. Turn the animation off for a static gold border.
- Tooltips appear only for visible icons or active alerts; invisible inactive icons do not show hover information.
- Relevant utilities stay visible during the global cooldown. An ability's own cooldown and an ongoing cast/channel of that ability suppress its alert. Mend Pet and Health Funnel cannot restart their own channel through the utility button.
- Independent health, mana and pet-health thresholds, initially 50%.
- Recovery buttons select an eligible potion or healthstone from your bags. Icons and tooltips match the selected item, including blue mana potion icons.
- Bandage reminders outside combat select the strongest usable standard bandage in your bags and appear only at or below your health threshold, initially 50%. Combat, Recently Bandaged and active casting/channeling suppress them. On Forever's private health data, this is a reminder only: use the bandage from your normal action bar. It has no invisible click area, hover input or addon keybind.
- Additional learned self-heals for priests, druids, paladins and shamans, always targeting you and using your health alert threshold.
- Expanded missing-buff suggestions for selected friendly players/pets, plus own-pet Revive Pet and warlock Soulstone protection. Only learned and eligible utilities appear.
- A draggable minimap button for settings and arrangement.
- Enable or disable individual abilities, add custom learned utilities, and optionally add separate party dispel buttons.
- No required companion add-ons or libraries.
For example, a hunter targeting a beast can have Scare Beast, Mend Pet and a healing potion highlighted together when their conditions apply. A priest can see a dispel opportunity, while an interrupt button can highlight an interruptible cast.
Getting started
Install Utility Helper: Forever, then type /uh or left-click its minimap gear to open settings. Right-click the gear to arrange the buttons. In Compact grid, dragging any icon moves the grid. Free layout allows individual placement. Close settings to finish arranging.
Choose Bind key beside an ability to assign its own key. Set Inactive visibility % to 0 for invisible inactive artwork, or increase it to keep the buttons visible between alerts.
How clickable buttons work
Every ability keeps a fixed position, action and keybind during combat. Active suggestions do not swap into one shared clickable slot or close gaps. At 0% visibility during combat, the artwork disappears but its fixed click area and keybind remain usable. Outside combat ordinary utility buttons are disabled and hidden, and their keys are released. Bandages appear only as low-health reminders while health is private, with all addon input disabled. If the client provides readable health, the bandage can instead be clicked only when low health is confirmed outside combat. Arrange mode reveals a preview that cannot cast. Bandage reminders, ordinary resurrection and other utilities needed outside combat currently use your normal action bar.
Enemy utilities use your current target. General friendly healing and dispels use your selected living ally, or you when no living ally is selected. Buttons labelled (self) and bandages always target you. Targeted buffs require a selected living friendly player or pet. Pet care targets your own pet. Soulstones protect a living player before death. You remain responsible for choosing the right target and time to act.
Scope and compatibility
Built for WoW: Forever 1.60.1, interface 16001. Damage rotations and ordinary direct-damage abilities are excluded. Utility spells with incidental damage are optional; turn that category off for a stricter selection.
The catalogue covers common utility families, not every spell or encounter. Range, resources, cooldowns, immunity and game restrictions can affect whether an ability succeeds. When readiness cannot be confirmed, the addon uses ? instead of a ready alert. Health/mana conditions may use native display-only indicators. A border cannot guarantee immunity, line of sight or successful execution.
Automated scenarios cover all nine class catalogues. In-game startup and the hunter interface have been observed; broader combat behaviour and the latest layout controls still need player feedback. Please include your class, add-on version, situation and exact error text when reporting a problem.
