# TinyToolTip - 4ever
A Forever port of **TinyTooltip**, the lightweight tooltip addon that lets you decide exactly what your tooltips show and how they look. Built on the Forever client's modern API (interface 16001) and written to cope with its combat restrictions.
## Features
**Player & NPC tooltips**
- Rearrange what appears on each line: name, title, realm, guild and rank, level, race, class, faction, role, zone, movement speed, AFK/DND/offline status
- Icons for class, faction, raid marker, role, PvP flag, quest boss, and friends
- Class-colored border and a class-colored background wash with adjustable strength
- Reaction, level, and faction coloring for NPCs
- Shows who the unit is targeting, and who in your group is targeting it
- Optional 3D model of the unit
- Gray-out for dead units
**Health bar**
- Top or bottom placement, adjustable height and offsets
- Class/reaction coloring or smooth green-to-red
- Optional health text with custom font, size, and outline
- LibSharedMedia textures supported
**Items, spells & IDs**
- Item borders colored by quality, optional item icon and max stack size
- Spell icons on spell tooltips
- Item, spell, quest, and achievement IDs (always, or while holding Shift/Ctrl/Alt)
- Mount source shown on mount buff tooltips
**Look & placement**
- Anchor to the cursor, beside the cursor, or a fixed spot you drag into place — separately for players, NPCs, and everything else
- Optionally hide tooltips in combat
- Scale, background texture, border style, border color, header and body fonts
- Also skins dropdown menus, the friends tooltip, and other tooltip-style frames
- Per-character settings, plus export/import of your whole setup
## Commands
- `/tt` (also `/tinytooltip`, `/tip`) — open settings
- `/tt player`, `/tt npc`, `/tt statusbar`, `/tt spell`, `/tt font`, `/tt variables` — jump straight to a page
- `/tt reset` — reset all settings
## Forever notes
Forever carries over Midnight's combat restrictions, where some unit information is hidden from addons.
- When a unit's name is hidden from addons, TinyToolTip leaves Blizzard's own tooltip text in place and only applies your colors.
- Creature health is often hidden from addons, so NPC health text may show Blizzard's raw value and smooth coloring falls back to class/reaction color.
- Spell IDs on buff tooltips aren't available during combat.
## Credits
TinyToolTip - Forever is a port, and all the credit for the original goes to its authors:
- **M** — original author of TinyTooltip
- **GovtGeek** — maintainer of the Classic version this port is built from
