SignalFire
A modern group finder and activity discovery addon built for WoW Forever.
SignalFire is designed around one simple goal:
Make it easier for players to find each other and form groups.
Instead of requiring everyone to use the same recruitment system, SignalFire can bring together structured SignalFire listings, Public Chat recruitment, Regional realm-wide discovery, optional Native LFG results, and nearby players into one browsable grouping experience.
Whether someone creates a SignalFire group, types LFM RFC in chat, appears through Regional from another city, or is standing nearby doing the same activity, SignalFire is built to help turn that opportunity into a group.
One Group Finder, Multiple Sources
SignalFire's modern Groups browser can combine opportunities from:
SignalFire listings
Public Chat
Regional realm-wide relay
Native LFG
Nearby players
SignalFire preserves source information rather than hiding where a group came from.
You can browse by:
All
Dungeons
Raids
Group Quests
Other activities
Then narrow results using role, level, source, and search filters.
The primary workflow stays simple:
Find a group. Select it. Group Up.
SignalFire handles the appropriate source-specific action underneath.
Regional Realm-Wide LFG
Public recruitment in classic-style WoW is often fragmented by location.
A player looking for a dungeon in one city may never see the recruitment message being posted somewhere else.
Regional is SignalFire's answer to that problem.
Qualifying LFG and LFM messages observed in Public Chat can be shared with other SignalFire users elsewhere on the realm, allowing recruitment to travel beyond the city or zone where it was originally seen.
Regional only relays accepted recruitment opportunities. It is not a replacement general chat channel.
Relayed opportunities still behave like Public Chat opportunities and retain their source identity.
Public Chat, Organized
SignalFire does not expect every player to create a structured addon listing.
Public Chat is treated as a first-class grouping source.
Qualifying recruitment messages can be parsed into a sortable board showing information such as:
Message
Player
Activity
Age
Role needs
Recruitment intent
Source
Group Up action
This turns fast-moving recruitment chat into something much easier to browse.
Create Groups
SignalFire also supports structured group creation for players who want a more complete listing.
Create groups for:
Group Quests
Dungeons
Raids
Other activities
Structured SignalFire groups support the broader My Group workflow, including applicants and group management.
Nearby
Sometimes the easiest group is already standing next to you.
Nearby helps surface players around you who may be relevant to your current activity.
Nearby includes:
Relevant to My Activity
Same Activity matching
Everyone Nearby
Group Up actions
Source-aware opportunity matching
Compact Quick Panel
Contextual grouping while the main SignalFire window is closed
Friendly Nameplates must be enabled for Nearby detection. Press Shift+V if Nearby appears empty.
My Group
Once you are forming a structured SignalFire group, My Group becomes your leader dashboard.
Features include:
Active listing management
Applicants
Potential Matches
Roster actions
Nearby matches
Summon coordination
Raid readiness
SignalFire also distinguishes between an actual managed listing and a manual chat post. Typing an LFM message does not silently create a fake managed group.
Three Ways to Use SignalFire
Lite
Recommended for most players.
Lite is the streamlined modern SignalFire experience focused on the core grouping loop:
Groups
Create Group
Public Chat
Regional
Native LFG
Nearby
My Group
Settings
It is designed to be easy to install and immediately understand.
Full
Everything SignalFire offers.
Full includes the complete grouping experience plus:
Player Memory
Favorites
Watchlists
Inbox
Player context
Guild recruitment
Raid recruitment
Calendar
Scheduled groups
Crafting and services
Advanced settings
Diagnostics
Classic
The original SignalFire-style experience.
Classic uses its own dark and gold interface and focuses on:
Browse Groups
Public Chat
Create Group
Settings
Activity filtering
Chat links
Classic-style recruitment actions
Classic shares the same backend and saved data as Full and Lite while preserving a much more traditional SignalFire presentation.
Player Memory and Social Tools
The Full experience includes tools that help you remember the people you meet.
Depending on the available information, SignalFire can track:
Notes
Tags
Last grouped date
Group history
Class
Specialization
Role
Favorites
Watchlists
Additional social systems include Inbox, player context, guild recruitment, and raid recruitment tools.
Calendar and Scheduled Groups
SignalFire includes calendar and scheduled group functionality for players who want to organize activities beyond immediate pickup groups.
Crafting and Services
The Full experience also includes SignalFire's crafting and services tools for discovering and organizing player-provided services.
Built for WoW Forever
SignalFire is actively developed around the WoW Forever client and its grouping environment.
The addon includes extensive parser, persistence, transport, lifecycle, and performance hardening developed through repeated live testing.
SignalFire 2.0 is not trying to become a giant collection of unrelated quality-of-life features.
The current direction is deliberately focused:
Make grouping easier.
Structured listings are part of that.
Public Chat is part of that.
Regional is part of that.
Nearby is part of that.
Native LFG is part of that.
SignalFire's job is to bring those pieces together and help players turn them into actual groups.

The Core Idea
You should not need to care how another player advertised their group.
If there is a useful grouping opportunity, SignalFire should help you find it.
Find groups. Create groups. Group Up.
