Having issues?
Senpai Plates puts the two things a tank watches most right on the enemy nameplates: how safe your threat is, and who the mob is hitting.
Threat differential
Left of your target's nameplate you see one number, just like the "Threat Differential on Nameplates" WeakAura:
- While you tank: your lead over the number two on the threat list.
- When someone else has aggro: how far you are behind whoever has the most threat.
The colour tells you who holds it:
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | You tank securely: your lead is above the safe value (300 by default) |
| Yellow | You tank, but your lead is small |
Orange !!! | You tank insecurely: someone is above you on the threat list |
| Blue | Another tank or a pet has aggro |
| Red | Untanked: a damage dealer or healer has aggro |
Damage dealers get their own colours, because not having aggro is the good state for them: green when safe, yellow when close to the top threat, orange when above the tank and about to pull, red when they have aggro.
Target of target
Right of the plate you see who the mob is attacking, in class colour. A damage dealer who pulls aggro sees their own name in red.
Health bar colours for tanks
As a tank (Righteous Fury, Defensive Stance, Bear Form or the tank role) the health bars turn blue while you hold aggro, yellow when it gets close, orange when it is insecure and red when you lost it. Out of combat the bars get their normal colour back.
Works with Plater and EllesmereUI
Senpai Plates attaches to Plater's plates as well as Blizzard's, colours Plater's bars, and steps around Plater's raid marks so the number never hides under a skull. On EllesmereUI's nameplates the number sits left of the bar, the target of target after the level box, and the tank colours go on EllesmereUI's bars.
Built for WoW Forever
WoW Forever hides threat numbers from addons during combat. Senpai Plates reads them through your target, focus and what your group or pet is targeting. On every other mob the game hides the numbers, so you see the live threat status in words:
- Tank: your lead in % while you hold the mob (e.g. 118%; the lowest % is the mob that needs threat next), AGGRO (yellow) when nobody else is on the threat list,
!!!plus the name of whoever is about to take it (orange), OT when another tank or a pet has it (blue), LOST (red). - Damage dealer: AGGRO (red), HIGH (orange, above the tank), nothing while you are safe.
