OlympusOnly hides chat and declines invites from players who belong to a guild that is not part of the OLYMPUS federation.
Everyone is allowed by default. A player is only blocked after the addon can see they have a guild, and that guild name does not start with OLYMPUS (case-insensitive). Ungulded players are also blocked. Players in OLYMPUS guilds are never filtered.
What it does
- Builds a local blacklist when it sees a non-OLYMPUS guild on a target, mouseover, nameplate, party/raid member, /who result, or incoming guild invite
- Silently hides say, yell, emote, whisper, channel, party, and raid chat from blacklisted names
- Declines party invites from blacklisted players and closes the invite popup
- Declines guild invites whose guild name does not start with OLYMPUS
- Removes a name from the blacklist if they later appear unguilded or in an OLYMPUS guild
- Saves the blacklist in SavedVariables so it persists across sessions
What it does not do
- Does not use Blizzard’s /ignore list and does not consume the 50-name ignore cap
- Does not send whispers, mail, or addon messages to other players
- Does not automatically query /who in the background
- Does not hide players whose guild is unknown or who have no guild
- Does not modify combat, loot, or other players’ UI
Why someone would not appear on /oo list WoW only exposes guild data for units the client can inspect. Chat names alone are not enough. Target them, mouseover them, group with them, or run /who so their guild is included in the result list. Then /oo who or /oo scan will classify them.
