Olympus Hunter is a world PvP addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. It tracks Asmongold's Olympus guilds: it warns you the moment an enemy Olympus player shows up, logs every sighting, tracks your kills, and shares all of it with other users running the addon.
Features
- Alerts: a sound, a banner and a chat line when an enemy from a guild with "Olympus" in its name shows up on a nameplate, as your target or under your mouse. Olympus, Olympus II and so on up to Olympus XLI all match automatically.
- Zerg mode: when 8 or more are nearby, you get one summary warning every 30 seconds instead of an alert for each player.
- Nearby tracker: a small window listing the Olympus players you've just seen, by full name. Click a name to target that player. Players stay listed for 60 seconds after their nameplate disappears, and clicking still works as long as your game can see them. You can resize it, scale it and pin it in place. Olympus players spotted by your groupmates show up underneath in a "Spotted by your group" section.
- Sighting log: who, which guild, level, class, where and when. The Spots tab shows where they appear most and at what hour, and map pins mark where each player was last seen.
- VIP list: named players get a louder alert, even in quiet mode and even if they leave the guild.
- Kill tracking: for each Olympus player, your kills (killing blows), assists (someone else's kill on a player you attacked) and honorable kills, with when and where.
- Leaderboard: your kills, assists and HKs next to other players running Olympus Hunter.
- Sharing: sightings and kills go to guildmates and groupmates running the addon, and they pass them on. Reports from your zone alert you, and VIP reports alert from anywhere.
- Control panel: type
/olyor click the minimap button to browse, sort and filter everything.
Experimental: Oly Net
Oly Net connects players running Olympus Hunter who aren't in the same guild or group.
- Oly Net channel: a hidden, password-protected chat channel for your faction. It connects everyone running the addon on your realm name.
- Oly Net links: hidden whispers that link you with players on other realm names, such as groupmates and Battle.net friends. Each side passes reports on to its own channel, guild and group.
This feature may change as Forever changes. Turn it off with /oly network or in Settings, and guild and group sharing keep working either way. /oly nettest checks it step by step.
What gets shared
Your character name, the Olympus players you see (name, guild, class, level, zone and where you were standing) and your kill totals. Everything is sent as hidden addon messages, so nothing appears in any chat. /oly share turns guild and group sharing on or off, and /oly network controls Oly Net. Turn both off to share nothing.
Limitations
- The addon only sees players your game is already showing you. Forever's addon rules block any radar, stealth detection or /who tracking.
- Map pins mark where the spotter was standing, not the enemy.
- The addon switches itself off in dungeons, raids and battlegrounds.
Setup
Turn on enemy nameplates. The addon mainly works by reading them. Type /oly test to see a sample alert, and /oly help for all commands.
