This is a fairly young project of mine, and I'm no coder whatsoever. Feedback of any kind is highly appreciated! Please contact me on Discord: Rebo#5691 or rebolol.
Midas is an auction-house price tracker and market analyzer for Classic Era and the WoW Forever beta. It runs its own full AH scan and stores the prices permanently, so you build a real price history over time instead of the rolling 21 days most tools keep. It doesn't need Auctionator or any other addon – but if you already use Auctionator or aux, Midas imports their price history on the first login.
What it does
Start — your dashboard: net worth with its trend, today's market (items clearly below or above their fair price), your watchlist, the biggest movers across your characters and your best recent trades.
Watchlist — the items you want to keep an eye on, shared across all your characters. Right-click any item in Midas to add it.
Net Worth — your gold plus the value of your items and active auctions, across every character on the account, split by category – and what moved it: market prices, quantities, gold and trades. Soulbound gear isn't counted, since you can't sell it anyway.
Trades — reads your auction mail and keeps a profit/loss log, then tells you per item whether your listings were priced too low, about right, or too high.
Charts — full price history with a 1W / 1M / 3M / All timeframe, a fair-price line, a floor moving average and your own buys and sells as dots.
Alt-click price card — alt-click any item (a chat link, your bags, a row in Midas) and its price card goes straight into chat – the one-click answer to "price check?".
Shared scan data If other people on your realm and faction also run Midas, your clients exchange scans automatically in the background, so you still get useful prices on the days you didn't scan yourself. This goes over the addon communication channel: it never shows up in chat, and players without the addon don't see anything. You can turn it off in the Settings tab or with /midas share.
WoW Forever (beta) The same download runs on Forever: Midas detects the modern auction house by itself and scans it the same way. Two differences: nearby (cross-guild) sync isn't possible there – the client blocks it – so sharing runs over guild and group. And the Forever beta client sometimes fails to load saved addon data at login; when that happens, every addon starts empty. That's a known Blizzard beta bug, not a Midas bug – Midas tells you about it in a popup.
Getting started Install it and log in, then open the auction house and click the Midas Scan button. Scan every now and then to keep your data current. Type /midas to open the window, or click the coin on your minimap.
Commands: /midas, /midas scan, /midas status, /midas trades, /midas share, /midas help.
For other addon authors and TSM users: Midas has a small public API (MidasAPI) – fair, current and quick-sell prices can be used as TSM custom price sources. Details in the README.
This is still an early project. The core tools are stable, the Forever support is brand new, so expect the odd rough edge. Bug reports and suggestions in the comments are welcome.
