MargraveMute

MargraveMute is a lightweight chat filtering addon for World of Warcraft: Forever.

It allows you to hide chat messages from selected character names across supported chat channels. The filtering happens entirely on your own client and does not affect what other players see.

Margrave is included as the default filtered name and can be removed like any other entry.

• Say
• Yell
• Whispers
• Party chat
• Party Leader chat
• Raid chat
• Raid Leader chat
• Raid Warning
• Guild chat
• Officer chat
• General and custom channels
• Instance chat
• Instance Leader chat
• Emotes
• Text emotes

Commands

/mmute add NAME

Adds a character name to the filter.

/mmute remove NAME

Removes a character name from the filter.

/mmute list

Displays the names currently being filtered.

/mmute on

Enables chat filtering.

/mmute off

Disables chat filtering without deleting the saved list.

/mmute reset

Restores the default filter settings.

How it works

MargraveMute checks the first name of the character sending each supported chat message.

If that name appears in your filter list, the message is prevented from appearing in your chat window.

The addon only affects your own interface.

It does not block the player through Blizzard's ignore system, alter messages for other players or make any server side changes.

Installation

Install through the CurseForge app when available, or manually extract the MargraveMute folder into your World of Warcraft: Forever AddOns folder.

For the current Forever beta installation this is normally:

World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/

Restart World of Warcraft or reload your UI after installation.
