Long Road Companion quietly records how your leveling actually goes: which quests you picked up and handed in and where, what you fought and how long it took, where you died and to what, and what you wear. Nothing to set up.
What you get back
- A live panel (
/longroad live): quests and XP per hour this session, time to your next level, time lost to deaths, and your last quest step against the fastest anyone has recorded. - A warning in chat when you walk into a spot where players keep dying.
- A note when loot beats what you wear, weighed for your class and level.
- Your own stats page on thelongroad.io, if you install the free uploader: where you stand against players of your class and level, where you lost time, recent sessions, your best attack order and gear upgrades.
What your runs build, for everyone: zone maps with mobs and danger spots, quest pages with pictures and timings, leveling routes, and class numbers, all at thelongroad.io.
Privacy
The addon saves to your own SavedVariables file and nowhere else. It only leaves your PC if you install the uploader, and then without your character names (they are replaced with a code before anything is kept). Nothing about you is public unless you turn on a public page yourself. Full details at thelongroad.io/privacy.
Quest pictures: with the uploader installed, the addon takes a screenshot as you pick up or hand in a quest, so the site can show what each quest giver looks like. The uploader cuts it down to the middle of the screen on your PC (no chat, names or bars), sends it, and deletes it. Your own screenshots are never touched. Without the uploader the addon takes no pictures.
