Knokploeg

Knokploeg is a community addon for World of Warcraft: Forever, built by and for our guild. It collects the small utilities a guild actually needs into one addon behind a single /kp command, so you are not installing five separate addons that each add their own minimap button.

What it does today

Dungeon quest export. Forever spreads 66 quests across ten dungeons, from Hall of Thanes at level 15 to Gnomeregan in the mid thirties. Many are picked up outside the instance, some are Alliance or Horde only, and several chains run across multiple visits. By the time you are level 30 it is genuinely hard to remember which ones you turned in, which are still sitting in your log, and which you never picked up at all — and the quest log only ever shows you the middle category.

Type /kp quests and the addon checks every one of those 66 quests against two things the game already knows: your completed-quest history and your current quest log. It then opens a small window containing a single line of text, already selected:

WFQ1;v=2026-09-22;c=168,1486,1487;o=1098,3372

Press Ctrl+C, paste it into the companion web tracker, and the whole list fills in at once: turned-in quests struck through, quests in your log marked as in progress, everything else left open. The tracker groups them by dungeon, shows a completion bar for each, filters to your faction, and links every quest to its Wowhead page.

What that changes for you

  • You stop guessing. Instead of opening the quest log and hoping, you get an accurate list of exactly which dungeon quests you are missing, and which dungeon to run to clear them.
  • It works per character. Run /kp quests on an alt and export again; each character produces its own string, so you can track a main and alts separately.
  • You can plan a run before you walk in. Seeing that you are missing four Gnomeregan quests tells you to pick them up in Ironforge first, rather than finding out at the instance portal.
  • It is shareable. The export is plain text, so you can paste it to a guildmate in Discord to compare progress or work out who still needs which chain.

The export covers Hall of Thanes, Ragefire Chasm, Wailing Caverns, The Deadmines, Ruins of Lordaeron, Blackfathom Deeps, Shadowfang Keep, The Stockade, Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
/kp or /knokploegLists every command the addon provides.
/kp questsOpens the quest export window with your progress ready to copy.

How it behaves in game

  • No screen clutter. No minimap button, no docked frames, no permanent panels. The one window it has appears when you ask for it and closes with Escape.
  • No background work. It reads your quest data at the moment you run the command and is otherwise idle, so it costs nothing while you play.
  • Nothing is sent anywhere. The export string goes to your clipboard and no further. The addon has no network access of its own, collects no data about you, and does not talk to other players' addons.
  • No configuration. There is nothing to set up. Install it, type the command.

What is coming

Knokploeg is the home for our guild's tooling, and modules are added as we build them — the /kp command list grows with them. The quest export is what exists today, and the page will say plainly what each new module does as it lands.

Compatibility

Built for the Forever client, interface 16001. Quest data shown on the companion tracker comes from Wowhead.
