Icons

Icons is a lightweight target-marking addon designed for the World of Warcraft: Forever Beta.

Quickly mark your current target with a raid icon using either a movable on-screen button or a customizable keybind. Each use prepares a randomly selected raid icon for the next target, making it fast and easy to mark multiple enemies without manually choosing icons.

Features

• One-click target marking – Select a target and press the Mark Target button.

• Random raid icons – Each use prepares a random raid marker for your next target.

• Movable button – Hold the Right Mouse Button and drag the button anywhere on your screen while out of combat.

• Position saving – Uses WoW's native layout system to remember the button's position.

• Screen clamping – Prevents the button from being dragged off-screen.

• Custom keybind support – Assign Mark target with random icon through Key Bindings → Icons.

• No forced keybinds – The addon never overwrites your existing keybindings.

• No macros required – Everything works directly through the addon.

• Combat-safe design – Uses Blizzard's SecureActionButtonTemplate and /tm command rather than automated marking calls.

• Lightweight – Focused entirely on quick target marking without unnecessary extras.

How to Use

1. Select the target you want to mark.

2. Click the Mark Target button or use your assigned keybind.

3. The displayed raid icon is applied to your target.

4. A new random icon is prepared for the next use.

The icon displayed on the button shows which marker will be used next.

Because WoW restricts changes to secure actions during combat, the addon continues using the icon that was prepared before combat began.

Keybind

Open:

Options → Key Bindings → Icons

Assign a key to Mark target with random icon.

No key is assigned or overwritten automatically.

Installation

Extract the Icons folder into:

_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/

Restart World of Warcraft or reload the UI.

Notes

Normal Blizzard raid-marker permissions still apply. The addon does not bypass party or raid marking restrictions.
