Hush Forever
Hides layer-invite spam, gold sellers, boosting ads and repeated messages from WoW: Forever chat, and shows you exactly what it hid.
Capital cities in Forever are loud: layer-invite floods, gold sellers, "cheap fast boost" ads, the same line posted over and over. Hush quietly removes that from public chat while leaving real players alone. Everything it hides stays one click away, so you never have to wonder what you missed.
What it hides
- Layer and streamer-guild invite spam: "whisper me for inv", auto-invite bots, "layer open" ads.
- Gold selling: real-money prices, payment methods, "cheap gold, fast delivery".
- Boosting and account services: power leveling, piloted runs, paid carries.
- Spam websites and Discord invites.
- Repeated messages: the same person posting the same text again and again.
Hush reads the whole message. It scores several signals together instead of blocking on single words, so "LF layer inv for the world boss" or "anyone doing SM? will pay for a boost" stay visible. It also sees through the usual tricks: 4SM0N l4yer, lookalike letters from other alphabets, and a s m o n spelled out with spaces.
What it never touches
- Your friends, Battle.net friends, guild, party and raid.
- Guild, officer, party, raid and instance chat, your own messages, and player-created channels.
- Anyone you add to your allowlist.
See, undo and report
- A small "Hush: N" counter above your chat window shows how many messages were hidden this session. Click it to open the log.
- The log lists every hidden message with its time, channel, sender and text. Hover a row to see why it was hidden.
- Allow restores the message to chat and never hides that player again.
- Mute turns off the rule that caught a message, for the rest of the session.
- Report opens Blizzard's own report window for real spammers, and Report next walks through them one click at a time. Hush never reports anyone on its own.
Options
Open with /hush options or through the game's AddOns settings.
- Turn filtering on or off, and choose which kinds of spam to hide.
- Sensitivity: Relaxed, Normal (the default) or Strict.
- Your own terms: add words or phrases that hide a message, or protect one (for example your guild's name).
- Optional summary line ("Hush hid 3 messages. [Show]") instead of hiding silently.
- Hides the chat bubbles of hidden /say and /yell spam.
- Share codes: export your setup as a code and import a friend's (
/hush export,/hush import). - Macro backup: an opt-in workaround that keeps your settings across restarts if Forever forgets addon settings.

Privacy
Hush runs entirely on your computer. It makes no network requests and sends nothing anywhere. The optional diagnostics recorder (/hush debug record) is off by default. When it's on, it only saves recent public chat decisions to your own addon settings file, for troubleshooting.
Status
Hush is new, built alongside the Forever beta. The filtering rules are still being tuned against real Forever chat, so an occasional real message may be hidden. If you see one, click Allow, and please report it in the comments with the message text. Every report makes the rules better.
