GOLD SOURCE PROFILES
Gold Guard tracks gold income while the addon is running and attempts
to attribute increases to observable sources such as:
• Auction House
• Quests
• Direct Trades
• Loot
• Vendor Sales
• Mail
• Unexplained Income
When two players using Gold Guard trade with each other, they may
optionally exchange aggregate source-profile information.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
Gold Guard cannot determine with certainty whether gold was purchased,
botted, or otherwise obtained in violation of Blizzard's rules.
World of Warcraft addons do not have access to Blizzard's private gold
transaction records.
Gold Guard evaluates observable game information and locally tracked
activity only.
"Unexplained" means Gold Guard observed an increase that it could not
attribute to a recognized source. It does NOT automatically mean the
gold was purchased or obtained illegally.
Peer Gold Guard profiles are self-reported addon data and are not
verified or certified by Blizzard.
Gold Guard does not automatically report players, accept trades,
cancel trades, or perform protected gameplay actions.
