v0.10.5 for WoW Forever 1.60.1 fixes equipment posting after choosing a price for an item with no lowest ask. Equipment prices round up to whole silver before review; commodity prices retain copper. The affected player confirmed this fix in game. Materials remains below the profession window, preserving the native chat-link button, dated estimates and drawer. See Files for the latest approved Release download. Existing testing limits remain disclosed below.

Grimlight Companion — optional Windows app

• Download market prices: automatically checks published data every five minutes.
• Share your scans: watches for saved full auction scans and uploads them for review before publication.
• Sync your shopping list: optionally connect your website account to receive your own list in the addon. No website account is required for market downloads or scan sharing.
• Stay up to date: the app shows newer Companion versions and lets you update from inside the app.

Install the addon first, then choose your main World of Warcraft folder in Companion. It finds supported Forever clients with Grimlight Auctions installed; choose the client you play if more than one is found. It runs quietly in the Windows tray—hover for activity or open it for download and upload status.

Normal logout or exit saves retained scans for Companion; no Send-to-site click is required. Optional Reload UI and Reload on AH close controls can save sooner. With Companion 1.2.0, the separate compact journal retains up to 192 scans, 8 MiB of encoded rows and 24 hours; detailed scan retention settings remain separate. Downloaded prices and shopping-list changes load on your next login or /reload. Character names, private profiles and raw saved files stay on your PC. You can pause sync or turn off scan sharing in Companion.

The addon also works without Companion. The current release supports the reviewed Forever Beta markets; live-launch client and realm identities still need verification. The Windows installer is unsigned and may show Unknown publisher; the linked setup guide explains this.

What it does

• Check your auction dashboard anywhere: left-click the dedicated minimap icon or type /ga dashboard. Review gold, the last complete auction-list snapshot, ledger, local/website/peer prices, shopping materials, sync history and settings away from the auction house. Right-click the icon for Sync; drag to reposition it.
• See addon players and sync status: Players lists your guild/group peers, confirmed addon messages, reported versions, last contact and individual transfer progress or acknowledgements. Roster members without a reply stay unconfirmed; a roster name alone never proves installation.
• Choose how much to sell: enter the quantity of a stackable item directly in Post bags. Sell 30 from 50 and keep the rest; the deposit and Post button use the chosen amount. Quantities respect selling rules and remain per-item choices for this auction-house visit. Click Max to restore all currently available units under your selling rules. Posting still requires your click.
• Review your listings: compare available competing listings, inspect undercuts and choose which auctions to cancel using the game's confirmation flow.
• Research resale opportunities: browse a shortlist with unit costs, estimated proceeds and available market evidence. Review the item in native Buy before making a purchase.
• Estimate disenchant value: enchanters can compare material estimates against auction costs, with optional observed disenchant results from Grimlight Enchanting.
• Compare crafting costs: click Materials below the profession window on the right to open its material drawer. Back to recipe restores crafting; Detach keeps a movable view. Last known material prices remain visible with their original ages after reopening or loading saved scans. Older estimates are labeled, mixed-age totals identify the oldest price, and unobserved materials stay unknown. Recipe comparison and Add to list remain available.
• Build a shopping list: add a recipe's materials from the profession panel or paste a list with /ga shop import. The Shopping tab combines materials, accounts for bags and purchases awaiting mail, and checks current prices. Golden Rod and other ordinary items resolve the exact native item version before checking listings; incomplete or ambiguous lookups offer Find in Buy. Every purchase requires your click. Stackable purchases use separate price and confirmation clicks where the client permits them; blocked calls offer a native Buy handoff.
• Keep a local ledger: browse recorded purchases, sales and related mail observations without treating an unconfirmed action as a completed transaction.
• Collect market history: collect available auction information while using the auction house and view its market scope and freshness.

Getting started

Install Grimlight Auctions in your Forever client's Interface/AddOns folder, enable it in the AddOns list and open the auction house. Use the Grimlight tabs alongside native Buy, Sell and Auctions. Type /ga to open the selling view while the auction house is open.

Useful commands:

• /ga dashboard — open the dashboard anywhere; /ga also opens it away from the AH.
• /ga sync and /ga ledger — open those dashboard pages anywhere.
• /ga players — addon users, versions and individual sync status; Check players requests discovery where permitted.
• /ga minimap show, /ga minimap hide, /ga minimap reset — control the launcher.
• /ga options — open settings.
• /ga scan — request a scan while the auction house is open.
• /ga history — view scan history.
• /ga pause and /ga resume — control automatic collection.
• /ga crafting — open the crafting-cost view.
• /ga shop — open the shopping list; /ga shop import accepts a copied item-and-quantity list.
• /ga logs — copy a local error report for support.
• /ga about — show the addon version and help.

Choose a posting quantity

Select the item in Post bags, enter whole units in Quantity, review the price and deposit, and click Post. Click Max beside Quantity to restore the currently available amount without checking your inventory. Escape restores the last accepted amount. Closing the auction house clears visit-only quantities. Invalid amounts or changed availability stop the post rather than silently changing your selection. Native warning confirmation preserves the same quantity. Bag changes, typing and scans never post automatically.

Equipment posting prices

Equipment auctions use whole silver: Change price rounds 68s 53c up to 69s when you click Use price. Review the resulting unit price and Post button before posting. Automatic equipment prices use the same upward rounding; minimums and advanced plan ceilings still apply. Stackable commodity prices retain copper. No price entry, scan or timer posts automatically.

Prices and decisions

Prices are observations and estimates, not guaranteed sale prices or profit. Thin supply, stale information, item variants, deposits and auction-house cuts can change the result. Retained material observations stay visible as dated estimates; genuinely missing evidence stays unknown. Resale suggestions require review. Buying, posting and cancellation follow the native player-action and confirmation requirements.

Away from the AH, My auctions shows the last complete owned-auction check, with its original age. Listings may since have sold, expired or changed. Markets keeps each source separate; click an item for recorded daily history. Shopping shows bags and purchases awaiting mail without starting price checks. Sync explains combat, chat lockdown and actual native send rejections, and distinguishes completed peer receipts from loaded website confirmations. A sharing setting or a loaded receipt does not establish a live connection. Website setup remains separate.

Compatibility and optional integrations

This project targets WoW Forever, interface 16001 / game version 1.60.1. Current builds are for early testing; native rendering, protected actions and persistence are still being validated. Other WoW editions are not currently supported.

No other addon is required. Separately installed EllesmereUI supplies optional styling; standalone controls remain available. Grimlight Enchanting optionally supplies copied observed disenchant counts through its public API. Neither integration is bundled.

The standalone download starts without imported personal data, shopping deliveries or shared-price packets. The built-in base Veruca v0.1 selling profile comes from public source defaults, without saved player choices or history. Website contribution, website shopping-list delivery and external companion setup are separate from the addon download; installing this addon alone does not configure a publisher or provide an external price feed.

Guild and group price sharing between installed addon clients is enabled by default. It exchanges bounded market-price observations through addon messages. Use /ga sharing off to disable it, or review collection and sharing controls in /ga options before using the auction house.

Addon/version announcements have a separate setting in dashboard Settings. Existing players who disabled peer sharing before upgrading also start with discovery disabled. Turn off both controls to stop outgoing peer traffic. Player names and presence live only in the current session and are not saved or published. Confirmation expires after five minutes without a message; older clients can be detected without knowing their version. Native send rejections, combat or chat lockdown can pause outgoing messages. Incoming messages remain separately validated; if no message arrives, installation and sync remain unknown. No restriction bypass is included.

Privacy and support

Settings, market observations, trading history and diagnostics use the game's normal SavedVariables. The download contains no personal history, account configuration or credentials. Error reports stay local until you choose to share them. Review reports for character names or private details before posting.

Use this project's CurseForge comments to report problems. Include the addon version, Forever client version, the action you attempted, expected and actual results, and relevant Lua errors. For visual problems, include an actual in-game screenshot with private information removed.
