Galdor Nameplates is a lightweight nameplate addon built for Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary (interface 20506) and WOW Forever.

Highly performance-optimized nameplates — prioritizes performance over deep customization: fewer options than other nameplate addons, with a much lower CPU/memory footprint.

It replaces Blizzard nameplates with a clearer layout: health bars, cast bars, name/level text, auras, threat indication. Tuned for TBC Anniversary (including post–2.5.6 nameplate behavior) while keeping.

Features

  • Custom enemy nameplate layout (health, name, level, cast bar)
  • Own Debuf / Aura icons on nameplates
  • Threat coloring on mobs nameplate / swap colors for tank mode support
  • Class color for enemy players
  • Name-only for friendly units in party dungeons and raids
  • Fade rules (non-target, untracked, casting, etc.)
  • Arena ID, quest and raid icons, boss mod icons (BigWigs / DBM)
  • Classic cast detection via LibClassicCasterino
  • Classic aura durations via LibClassicDurations
  • CVar helpers for Anniversary nameplate options (totems, class colors, dungeon-friendly names)

Version 1.0.2

Threat colors

  • Added threat % indicators: orange at 85%, yellow at 93% (and Blizzard high-threat status).
  • Fixed tank mode coloring when you are about to lose aggro (insecure threat).

Got-aggro rim

  • When Blizzard’s threat API is slow or incomplete in groups (multiple mobs), hostile plates can look like you have aggro even when you don’t.
  • A yellow border now appears only when you actually have aggro, so you can tell real aggro from the default red of aggressive / unengaged mobs.
  • Toggle with: /gnp gotaggro

Version 1.0.2a

Commands are now toggles instead of requiring arguments.

Compatibility

  • The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary
  • WOW Forever with some API limitations
