ForeverTransport

ForeverTransport is a lightweight boat and zeppelin timer addon designed specifically for WoW Forever.

It automatically shows the transports available in your current zone and displays their estimated arrival or departure times in a small, movable, WoW-style window.

If there is no relevant boat or zeppelin in your current area, the window stays hidden.

The goal is simple: install it, play normally, and let the addon handle the rest.

How does it work?

ForeverTransport works locally first.

When your client obtains a reliable timing for a transport route, that timing is stored locally and used to calculate future arrivals and departures.

The addon can also communicate silently with other ForeverTransport users through WoW's addon communication system.

If another player has a more recent timing for a route, that information can automatically be shared with nearby players, guild members, party members, or raid members.

This means the addon becomes more useful as more people install it.

With only a few users, ForeverTransport can already learn and maintain transport timings locally.

With a larger number of users, there is a much higher chance that someone has recently taken a specific boat or zeppelin and refreshed its timing for everyone else.

More users = more observations = fresher timers for everyone.

So while ForeverTransport is fully usable on its own, installing it across a guild, community, or a larger part of the server makes the timing network much more effective.

ForeverTransport can also make use of compatible transport timing information shared through supported addon communication channels when available.

Designed to stay out of the way

ForeverTransport is intentionally minimal.

When a transport is relevant, the addon shows the information you need.

When there is nothing useful to display, it stays hidden.

Community timing network

ForeverTransport does not require other players in order to function, but it becomes significantly more effective when more players use it.

Every player naturally travelling by boat or zeppelin can help keep the timing network fresh without having to press buttons, enter commands, or manually report anything.

The synchronization happens automatically in the background.

The more people using ForeverTransport, the less likely you are to arrive at a dock without an up-to-date timer.
