# ForeverThreat

**ForeverThreat** is a modern, lightweight, target-based threat meter for **World of Warcraft: Forever**, inspired by the fast, readable workflow of classic threat-meter addons.

It focuses on one job: showing you who is actually threatening your current hostile target, without turning the screen into a dashboard.

- Live threat ranking for your current hostile target
- Actual aggro holder shown at the top
- Your own true threat rank stays visible even when you fall outside the normal visible row range
- First-class pet threat and pet-owner display
- Threat percentage and optional raw threat values
- Role and class indicators
- Configurable row height, scale, opacity, fonts and bar textures
- Visual and sound alerts for near, critical and aggro states
- Solo, party and raid visibility controls
- Automatic addon-to-addon party/raid sync when Forever exposes a safe target identity
- Lightweight polling designed for the Forever client
- No combat-history database or post-fight statistics

## Profiles

ForeverThreat includes account-wide named profiles with per-character selection.

- Create, rename and delete profiles
- Export/import profiles as text
- Integrity checking rejects broken or truncated imports
- `Bruk denne profilen overalt` can temporarily apply one profile to every character
- Global profile mode is OFF by default
- Turning global mode off restores each character's previous profile
- Window position and size remain per-character and are not included in profile exports

## Warcraft Forever safety

The Forever client can mark some identity values as restricted/secret. ForeverThreat is built to degrade safely when that happens:

- secret GUID values are not used as Lua table keys
- restricted target identities do not enter the normal target cache
- addon sync is skipped when the client does not expose a safe target identity
- local threat display continues using safe unit-based internal keys where possible

## Commands

- `/ft` or `/fthreat` — toggle the meter
- `/ft o` or `/fthreat options` — open settings
- `/ft version` or `/ft v` — print the loaded version
- `/fthreat debug` — toggle diagnostic output

## Optional media addon

**ForeverThreatMedia** can be installed separately to keep custom fonts and bar textures available across ForeverThreat updates.
