Real-player reports and SavedVariables are extremely valuable. Thank you for helping improve ForeverRoute.
A leveling guide built specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever.
ForeverRoute is a step-by-step leveling, questing and navigation addon designed around the actual Forever world — not around the assumption that old Classic quest data, NPC positions and coordinates are still correct.
The goal is simple:
Spend less time figuring out where to go next and more time actually playing.
ForeverRoute guides you through quest pickups, objectives, turn-ins, travel, class tasks and leveling progression while continuously improving its routes from Forever-specific data and real player reports.
Why ForeverRoute?
World of Warcraft: Forever is not just a copy of old Classic data.
NPCs can be different. Quest flow can be different. Objectives can be different. Travel can be different. Waypoints can be different. Entire areas and progression paths can behave differently.
That means a leveling guide built by blindly reusing Classic coordinates can easily send you to the wrong NPC, the wrong side of a zone — or somewhere where nothing exists at all.
ForeverRoute is being built around Forever-specific evidence, live gameplay data and validation.
When a location is not trustworthy enough, the addon should prefer admitting that navigation is uncertain rather than inventing a fake waypoint.
Current Beta Status
ForeverRoute is currently in active public beta.
The addon is already usable for early leveling, but routes and navigation are still being actively tested and improved.
Current development focuses on:
- early-level Horde and Alliance routes
- all supported Forever races and classes
- route accuracy
- quest availability
- NPC and objective locations
- smarter travel
- waypoint reliability
- resume and catch-up behavior
- improving route quality from real gameplay
The long-term goal is full leveling support toward level 60.
Expect frequent improvements while the beta is active.
Core Features
Step-by-Step Leveling Guide
ForeverRoute shows your current action clearly:
- Accept quests
- Complete objectives
- Turn quests in
- Travel to the next area
- Train abilities
- Handle important class steps
- Follow profession-related instructions
- Continue through the leveling route
The guide automatically advances when reliable game state confirms that a step is complete.
Smart Quest Navigation
ForeverRoute can guide you using:
- World Map markers
- Minimap markers
- Blizzard navigation
- ForeverRoute navigation
- Quest giver locations
- Objective areas
- Turn-in locations
- Travel transitions
Navigation data is kept separate from route progression so simply being able to travel somewhere does not automatically mean the guide should send you there.
Race, Class and Faction Aware
ForeverRoute is not being built around a single test character.
The routing system supports the legal Forever race/class combinations across both factions, including the new Skyborne races.
Different characters can have different:
- starter progression
- class quests
- quest availability
- travel paths
- route sections
- profession guidance
Character progress is stored separately so one character should not overwrite another character's guide state.
Built for Skyborne Too
Skyborne progression is treated as its own Forever content.
ForeverRoute uses Forever-specific quest and location evidence for Zephras Isle and does not simply force Skyborne characters into another race's starter route.
Both:
Windshaper Skyborne
and
High Order Skyborne
are part of the route validation target.
Smart Route Planning
ForeverRoute includes its own route planning and quest graph systems.
The planner can take into account things such as:
- Minimum quest level
- Quest prerequisites
- Race restrictions
- Class restrictions
- Faction restrictions
- Quest XP
- Kill XP
- Quest giver positions
- Objective locations
- Turn-in positions
- Geographic clustering
- Travel distance
- Zone transitions
- Flight paths
- Route dependencies
The objective is not simply to create the shortest-looking list of quests.
The objective is to create a route that is actually playable.
No Blind Classic Waypoints
Classic data can still be useful as reference evidence, but ForeverRoute does not automatically assume that Classic coordinates are correct in Forever.
Forever-specific runtime observations and verified sources take priority.
This is especially important for:
- NPC locations
- quest givers
- turn-ins
- mob locations
- objective areas
- flight masters
- zone geometry
- travel routes
If ForeverRoute does not yet trust a waypoint enough, it may intentionally avoid showing one rather than confidently sending you to the wrong place.
Route Resume and Catch-Up
Installed ForeverRoute after you already started leveling?
The addon includes systems for:
- resuming existing route progress
- detecting completed quests
- recovering route position
- skipping already satisfied steps
- selecting appropriate route sections
The goal is to avoid forcing every player to begin a guide from level 1.
Full Guide Browser
ForeverRoute is being designed so you can inspect the route beyond just the current quest.
The guide interface can show:
- your current step
- completed steps
- upcoming steps
- route progress
- future route instructions
Manual route controls are intentionally kept separate from factual quest completion.
Skipping a guide instruction does not pretend that the underlying quest was completed.
The game remains the source of truth.
On the Way
Good leveling routes do more than send you from waypoint to waypoint.
ForeverRoute can surface useful things to do while travelling, such as killing mobs or collecting objectives that belong to another active quest along your path.
This is intended to reduce unnecessary backtracking.
Quest Item Support
When a quest requires an item to be used, ForeverRoute can integrate that into the current guide step so important quest items are easier to access.
Flight Path Awareness
ForeverRoute includes flight path logic and travel data.
The addon can account for things such as:
- known flight paths
- flight masters
- zone travel
- transport transitions
- whether travel should happen before the next quest action
Travel systems are still being actively expanded during beta.
Profession Guidance
ForeverRoute also includes profession-related guidance.
The longer-term goal is not only to say:
Craft 10 items
but to guide the player through the whole preparation flow, for example:
Buy the required vendor materials → then craft the items.
Profession support will continue to improve alongside leveling routes.
XP and Progress
ForeverRoute can display leveling information such as:
- current level progress
- XP remaining
- route progression
- session information
The route planner also considers XP requirements when building leveling paths.
Beta Means Beta
ForeverRoute is under active development.
You may still encounter:
- incorrect waypoints
- missing waypoints
- incorrect NPC positions
- route gaps
- quests that behave differently from expected
- missing objective data
- incorrect route ordering
- UI bugs
- Lua errors
If you find one, please report it.
A real gameplay report is much more valuable than silently working around the problem.
Reporting a Problem
ForeverRoute includes diagnostic tools intended to make bug reports useful.
If the guide does something wrong:
- Leave the addon on the incorrect step if possible.
- Use the built-in REPORT feature or
/fr report. - Copy the generated report.
- Send it with a short explanation of what happened.
You can also use:
/fr why
to inspect why ForeverRoute moved to or selected the current step.
Useful reports include things like:
- wrong quest
- wrong NPC
- wrong waypoint
- guide skipped ahead
- guide resumed at the wrong position
- quest is unavailable
- objective is in the wrong place
- flight path behaves incorrectly
- route sends you to the wrong zone
Help Improve ForeverRoute
ForeverRoute is currently developed and maintained by one person.
Real-player data is extremely valuable.
If you want to help improve route accuracy, quest progression, NPC locations, waypoints and race/class coverage, please send your ForeverRoute SavedVariables file to:
decipriest@gmail.com
SavedVariables are especially useful from:
- different races and classes
- Skyborne characters
- characters that started the addon at a higher level
- characters that used Skip / Previous / Resume
- characters that encountered incorrect route steps
- characters that encountered bad waypoints
- longer play sessions
Even if you did not encounter a bug, real gameplay data can help validate routes.
Thank you to everyone helping test the addon.
Automated Testing
ForeverRoute has an increasingly large automated validation suite covering systems such as:
- quest lifecycle behavior
- race/class profile coverage
- route generation
- route progression
- quest prerequisites
- waypoint handling
- starter progression
- character-separated SavedVariables
- travel routing
- map and minimap markers
- UI behavior
- combat-safe UI mutations
- addon packaging
Automated tests are useful, but they can never replace actual gameplay.
That is why live player testing remains essential.
Development Philosophy
ForeverRoute follows a few important principles:
Forever data first.
Do not fabricate navigation data.
Game state is more authoritative than guide assumptions.
Manual Skip is not fake quest completion.
A travel path existing does not automatically make a quest part of the correct leveling route.
Support all Forever races and classes — not just one test character.
Roadmap
The current priority is making the existing leveling experience reliable before rapidly expanding the level cap.
Development is focused on:
- improving early leveling routes
- correcting quest ordering
- expanding verified Forever waypoint coverage
- improving Skyborne progression
- improving all race/class profiles
- improving Full Guide browsing
- better route section selection
- profession improvements
- better travel logic
- more runtime data collection
- continued route expansion toward level 60
Quality comes before simply generating more steps.
