Forge Your Game

ForeverForge Skill Tracker

Progress bars for your WoW: Forever skills, in named groups you set up yourself.

Professions, weapon skills, or anything else with a rank: put the ones you care about on screen and see them go up as you level them.

Part of the ForeverForge suite. Requires the ForeverForge core addon (1.15.0 or later). This replaces the standalone Forever Skill Tracker addon, so disable that one or you'll see two sets of bars.

Shortcuts

  • ⭐ Equipped only - Tick it on a group: its weapon skills show only for what you're holding, and switch when you swap.
  • Reputation bars - + ADD SKILL » REPUTATION: the faction you watch or any you know, in its standing's color.
  • Skill bars in groups you choose - Weapon skills and professions, per character. /fst » Groups.
  • Use for new characters - Makes this character's groups the starting set for new characters.

Every shortcut for every ForeverForge addon: in game under /forge » Core » Tips & shortcuts, or the #feature-guide channel on the ForeverForge Discord.

Features

Your skills, grouped your way

  • Named groups. Make groups like Gathering, Crafting or Weapons, and put any skills you like in each one.
  • Add, rename, reorder and delete groups, and add, reorder and remove the skills in them, all from the settings window.
  • Updates as you go. The bars change when you gain a skill point or learn a new skill. You don't need to reload.
  • A skill this character hasn't learned yet shows as NOT LEARNED in the editor and stays off the bars until you learn it.

Two display styles

  • Progress bars: the skill name, your current rank and the max rank on a filling bar.
  • Plain text: one compact line per skill (Mining: 142 / 225) on a background you can make as dark as you like.
  • Optional group headings, aligned left, centre or right.

Make it look how you want

  • Bar textures: classic WoW bar art, this client's own modern art (cast bar, health, mana, rage, energy, experience, rested, honor and more), and anything from SharedMedia if you have it installed.
  • Bar color, font and text color are all yours to set.
  • Size: bar width, row height, row spacing and font size.

Stays where you put it

  • Drag the bars anywhere, then lock them in place.
  • The position is saved per character and put back at login and after every loading screen. This fixes the old addon's bars jumping back to the middle of the screen.
  • Anchored by the top-left corner, so adding a group makes the list grow downwards and the bars don't move.

Built for multiple characters

  • Groups and position are per character, so your alts never overwrite each other's setup.
  • Set a default for new characters. Pick Use this character's groups as the default, and any new character starts with the same groups, minus skills it doesn't have. Without a default, a new character starts with all its skills in one group.
  • Appearance follows the ForeverForge save scope: this character, the default, or every character.
  • Import & export through ForeverForge core. Copy another character's Skill Tracker setup, groups included, or share it as an export string. You can undo an import.

Part of ForeverForge

  • Settings live in the ForeverForge window alongside the rest of the suite. Open them with /fst, /forge, or the ForeverForge minimap button.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
/fstOpen the Skill Tracker settings
/fst toggleShow or hide the bars (also /fst show and /fst hide)
/fst lock / /fst unlockLock or unlock the bars
/fst resetPut the bars back in the middle of the screen
/fst debugShow the bar position, where skills are read from, and every skill found

Coming from Forever Skill Tracker?

Install this, disable the old Forever Skill Tracker, and set up your groups under /fst. The old Save Settings window, backup list and import string are gone. Your settings now save the normal way, and sharing between characters goes through ForeverForge's Import & export.

The ForeverForge suite

One look, one settings window (/forge), made for WoW: Forever. Pick the ones you want - they all use the ForeverForge core addon, and the LFG Bulletin Board also runs on its own.

  • ForeverForge (the core) - one settings window for the whole suite, faster auto loot, auto quests, and vendors that sell your greys and repair.
  • Bags - one bag window with smart sections or your own sorting, and Ctrl+Shift+click to disenchant, prospect, mill or pick locks.
  • Auction - a faster, simpler auction house: price tooltips you can customize, one-press posting, a sniper and safe bulk buying.
  • LFG Bulletin Board - group posts sorted by dungeon and shared between players, so you see groups from every zone.
  • UI - unit frames, action bars, chat and meters in one clean look.
  • Training - pre-pick your talents, see the spells still to come, and a better trainer window.
  • Macros - build macros line by line in plain English, plus the one-click tag macro.
  • Mass Mail & Trade - send a pile of items to anyone: one mail per click, trades that fill themselves.
  • Custom Info Panels - build info bars: FPS, gold, bags, coords, durability, XP and more.
  • Skill Tracker - progress bars for your professions and weapon skills.
