Forever RolePlay

# ForeverRP

ForeverRP is a roleplaying addon built specifically for **World of Warcraft Forever**. It gives players a lightweight way to create a character profile, discover other ForeverRP users nearby, reconnect with familiar characters, and use quick-access RP tools without cluttering the game screen.

The addon is designed around a **minimap-first interface**. During normal gameplay, only the ForeverRP minimap button remains visible. From there, players can open their profile, view nearby ForeverRP users, manage Connections, configure MingleBar, adjust privacy, and access other addon features.

## Features

- Per-character RP profiles
- RP name, title, race, class, age, pronouns, status, and current activity
- At-a-Glance, description, history, and OOC notes
- Read-only local and remote profile viewer
- Nearby ForeverRP player discovery
- Configurable discovery radius
- Minimap notification and nearby-player count
- Remote profile requests and viewing
- Player tooltip integration

### Connections

ForeverRP includes a local **Connections** system for characters you want to remember after a good interaction.

- Remember characters you meet
- Mark favorite characters
- Add private personal notes
- Track when a saved character was last encountered
- Receive stronger alerts when a familiar or favorite character is nearby

Connection data is stored locally and is never shared with other players.

### MingleBar

**MingleBar** is an optional, customizable RP action bar built directly into ForeverRP.

Players can configure between **1 and 12 quick-access emote slots**, choose from a built-in library of common emotes and RP actions, or create their own custom actions.

MingleBar supports:

- 1–12 configurable action slots
- Built-in social, reaction, body-language, conversation, and RP-action presets
- Custom RP actions with custom button titles
- Resizable bar
- Draggable positioning
- Lockable placement
- Persistent layout and configuration
- Explicit click-to-use actions only

The button title shown on MingleBar is fully configurable, making it easy to build a compact RP toolkit around the emotes and actions your character actually uses.

## Privacy

ForeverRP only shares addon data with other ForeverRP users through supported World of Warcraft addon communication systems.

Players can control their visibility at any time.

Privacy modes include:

- **Visible**
- **Friends/Guild Only**
- **Hidden**

**Hidden mode** prevents the addon from advertising presence or responding to profile/discovery requests.

Remote RP profiles are stored only in temporary runtime memory and are not permanently saved by other ForeverRP clients.

Private Connection data such as notes, favorite status, remembered status, and encounter history remains local and is never transmitted.

## Beta Status

ForeverRP is currently in beta and under active development.

Core profile, discovery, privacy, tooltip, communication, Connections, and MingleBar systems are implemented, but broader multi-player testing is still ongoing. Bugs and edge cases may still occur as World of Warcraft Forever itself continues to evolve.

## Source and Issues

ForeverRP is developed openly on GitHub.

Bug reports, feature requests, and development feedback are welcome through the project's issue tracker.

## Artwork Disclosure

The ForeverRP logo was created with the assistance of **AI-generated imagery** and was subsequently selected and used as the project's visual identity.
