# ForeverLootManager (FLM)

ForeverLootManager is a DKP loot manager for World of Warcraft : Forever. It follows the workflow of Classic Loot Manager (rosters, open bidding, boss awards) but it is a separate addon written from scratch for the Forever client. It shares no code with Classic Loot Manager and cannot import its data.

## Requirements

- World of Warcraft: Forever (Interface 16001).
- The raid leader runs the addon. In a group, the raid leader's session is the only one that can change points, run auctions and run sessions. If the raid leader does not have the addon, an assistant who has it takes that role. Out of a group, the addon works locally.
- Master loot, with the raid leader as master looter, to start auctions from the loot window and hand items over automatically.
- Other raid members need the addon to see standings and to bid. Without it, they only see the announcements in raid chat.

## Points and standings

- Several rosters, one of them active at a time. Each roster has its own members, points and settings.
- Players are identified as `Name-Realm`.
- Every change of points is recorded in the history with the time, the player, the amount, the reason and the item link when there is one.
- The history is the reference. The displayed totals can be rebuilt from it at any time (Recalculate button or /flm recalc).
- When the history exceeds its limit (5000 entries by default), the oldest quarter is folded into one carry-over entry per player. Totals do not change.
- Manual awards: to the selected player, or to every member of the current raid or party.
- Decay by percentage, rounded to the nearest point. Players whose decay rounds to zero are skipped.
- Standings window: rank, name in class colour, points, time since the last change. History tab: most recent entries first.

## Auctions

- The master looter opens a corpse: a window lists the items at or above the quality threshold (Epic by default), each with an Auction button.
- Open bidding: every bidder sees every bid.
- A bid must be at least the minimum bid and at most the bidder's current points. It does not have to beat the highest bid : equal bids are accepted.
- The increment (10 by default) is the step of the + button in the bidding window. Bids are not required to be multiples of it.
- A player can change their bid while the auction runs. The last bid counts.
- All in bids the player's full balance. It needs two clicks within 3 seconds.
- The auction closes automatically after its duration (30 seconds by default). The loot master can close it early or cancel it.
- The highest bid wins. If several players are tied on the highest bid, a random roll between those players only decides the winner. Players below the highest bid are not part of the roll.
- The winner is debited the amount of their bid. The item link is kept in the history.
- When the loot master is master looting, the item is given to the winner automatically.
- The opening, the result and the tie-break are announced in raid chat, prefixed with [FLM].
- One auction at a time.
- The loot master bids through the same bidding window as everyone else.

## Raid sessions and automatic awards

- /flm session start begins a session on the active roster. /flm session stop ends it.
- During a session, a boss kill awards points to every raid member present at the kill.
- Boss kills are detected with the ENCOUNTER_END (successful attempts only) and BOSS_KILL events. The client sends both for the same kill; the addon counts one kill per boss within 30 seconds.
- Points per boss: one value per roster, the same for every boss (10 by default, /flm bossaward <n> or the options window).
- On-time bonus: paid to the members present when the session starts (disabled by default).
- Interval bonus: paid every N minutes to the members present (disabled by default).
- Attendance: for each player seen during the session, first seen, last seen, number of boss kills attended, and whether they are still in the raid.
- A player who left the raid is not paid for the following bosses. A player who joins late is paid from their first boss.
- The session is kept through a /reload.

## Synchronisation

- The raid leader is the authority. If the raid leader does not run the addon, an assistant who runs it takes over after 10 seconds without an authority.
- The other members are read-only mirrors. Their award buttons are disabled and the commands that change points are refused.
- Each change made by the authority is sent to the raid with a sequence number. A mirror that detects a missing number requests the full state instead of applying the change.
- A mirror joining the raid receives the full state: all members with their points and the last 100 history entries.
- Messages are split into chunks under the client's size limit and reassembled on reception. Item links are encoded so they survive the transfer.
- Nothing is sent directly. Messages go through a queue that retries after a throttle or a lockdown refusal from the client.
- The standings window shows the sync status: Authority, Mirror of (name), Sync blocked (with the reason), or Solo.

## Not included

- EPGP. Points are DKP only.
- Sealed bids.
- Standby lists, weekly caps, permission levels.
- Several simultaneous auctions.
- Different point values for different bosses.
- Starting an auction without master loot.
- Import from Classic Loot Manager.

## Languages

English, French, German, Spanish. German and Spanish cover the main windows; some option labels are in English.

## Known issues

- Beta client (builds 1.60.1.69893 and 69913): the client writes saved variables but does not load them back at login. Rosters and points are lost at each login on the beta. This affects every addon on the beta, not only this one.
- Not yet verified in a live raid : the transfer of addon messages during boss encounters, and the automatic hand-over of items in master loot. Both are covered by offline tests, not by an actual raid.

## Data

Saved variables : ForeverLootManagerDB.
