Forever Emote Wheel
Use WoW Forever's native emote wheel with a keyboard and mouse, without enabling the gamepad interface.
Built for WoW Forever / Classic Plus beta 1.60.1.70009, Interface 16001. Requires the client's built-in Blizzard_Gamepad UI. Retail and other Classic clients are not supported.
Installation
Extract the ZIP into World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/ so the resulting path is ForeverEmoteWheel/ForeverEmoteWheel.toc. Restart the game after first installation and enable the addon. Use /reload after updates.
Quick start
Type /few to open the wheel. On login, the addon creates a FEW Emotes macro in General Macros. Open /macro and drag it to your action bar. Alternatively, assign a key under Keybindings > Forever Emote Wheel > Toggle emote wheel.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Mouse movement + left click | Select and perform an emote |
| 1-8 | Select a segment |
| Arrow keys | Select a cardinal direction |
| Tab / Shift+Tab | Select the next / previous segment |
| Enter or Space | Perform the selected emote |
| X, while the wheel is open | Sit or stand, then close the wheel |
| Right click or Escape | Close without performing an emote |
Clicking the center or outside the wheel does not perform an emote. The wheel works outside combat and closes when combat begins. When it is closed, normal keybindings apply.
Commands
/fewor/emotewheel: toggle the wheel./few macro: create or find the action-bar macro./few status: display the client version and native API compatibility.
Native appearance
Uses the game's own radial artwork, segment template, selection effects, labels and emote actions. The eight choices are Dance, Point, Wave, Kneel, Train, Chicken, Angry and Cheer, ordered counterclockwise from the right.
All eight choices share the same icon in the supported beta build. This is the original client's assignment. This addon does not provide a full emote catalog or pagination.
The wheel is centered on screen with English keyboard/mouse help. Native emote labels follow the game client's language. The original controller wheel, camera settings, gamepad mode and action bars are not modified.
Automatic macro
The generated macro uses the native emote icon and contains /few.
- A General Macro named
FEW Emotes(or a numbered variant) with the same command is reused. - Your own differently named
/fewmacros do not prevent creation. - Existing macros are never overwritten; name conflicts add a numeric suffix.
- If General Macro slots are full, free a slot and run
/few macro. - Creation requested during combat is deferred until combat ends.
- A deleted generated macro is recreated on the next login or UI reload.
- You choose its action-bar position by dragging it from
/macro.
Troubleshooting
For a missing macro, run /few macro outside combat and read the chat message. If a new file is not detected after /reload, restart the game completely. After beta updates, include /few status output when reporting issues.
