Farmin Forever
Find your farm. Track your loot. See what it earns.
Farmin Forever is a farming companion for WoW Forever, bringing loot, gold, XP, auctions and player trades together in one session tracker.
Whether you’re testing a new farming spot or returning to a favourite zone, Farmin Forever helps you compare your results and keep your earnings organised.
Start farming in a few clicks
- Open the addon using its minimap button or
/ff. - Choose your continent and zone.
- Select the mobs you want to track.
- Search the mob list or add your current target.
- Start your session and get farming!
Compact farming bar
- Keep your progress visible while you play:
- Active farming time
- Starting gold
- Farm gold, including grey loot value and credited sales
- Incoming auction gold estimate
- Mobs looted
- XP per hour
Pause, resume, end or hide the bar whenever you need to. The bar is movable, with a position lock and adjustable UI scale.
A bold red border makes paused sessions easy to recognise.
Loot tracking and items per hour
See everything you’ve found in one session loot list, with:
- Item names and tooltips
- Total quantities
- Items per hour, calculated using active farming time
- Vendor values
- Filters for grey, white, green, blue and epic-quality loot
Grey items contribute their vendor value to your farm gold immediately. When a matching vendor sale is recorded, its payment replaces that value—the same item isn’t counted twice.
Gold that belongs to your farm
Farmin Forever keeps session earnings separate from general wallet changes.
- Matching vendor sales count towards the session.
- Unrelated items sold from your bags don’t inflate the results.
- Repairs, flights and purchases don’t automatically reduce farm earnings.
- Add an optional manual cost when you want an expense included.
Sales are limited to the quantity actually found in that session. If you farmed 29 Pristine Leather and already sold 19, only 10 more remain eligible—even if you have extra leather in your bank.
Auction tracking
- Click Track auctions before posting items for the selected session.
- New eligible postings contribute to Incoming Auction Gold (Est.).
- Stack quantities are included in the calculation.
- Each posting keeps its own entry, date, batch and farming time.
- Later postings of the same item remain separate.
- Mark a listing Didn’t sell to remove its estimate and release its quantity.
- Undo an accidental removal when that quantity is still available.
When you collect matching auction-sale mail, the recorded payment moves into Farm Gold and replaces the outstanding estimate.
Fully collected postings appear grey with a green tick. Partial payments leave the remaining portion estimated.
If several postings match the same receipt, you can select the correct posting instead of having the addon guess.
Player-trade earnings
Selling directly to another player? Eligible gold received through a completed trade can count towards your farm too.
The Trades tab shows:
- Trade date and time
- Items and quantities traded
- Quantities credited to the farm
- Gold credited to the session
Extra inventory won’t inflate your earnings. For example, if only 10 items remain eligible and you trade 20 for 2 gold, the session receives 1 gold of credit.
Trades containing different item types let you allocate the payment between them. Cancelled or unsuccessful trades don’t count.
Separate Auctions and Trades tabs
Open View Auctions / Trades to review both types of sale in one place.
Keep auction estimates, collected payments and direct-trade earnings easy to check without cluttering your main farming screen.
XP and mob tracking
Track total XP gained and XP per hour, including XP from kills, quests and exploration while the session is running.
The mob tracker records unique creature corpses you take loot from, with a breakdown by mob name and counts for your selected mobs.
Mob counts measure looted corpses, not killing blows. Empty corpses do not currently add to the count.
Save, resume and compare sessions
- Save sessions under their farming zone.
- Browse previous sessions from the saved-session list.
- Give sessions custom names.
- Resume a saved session while preserving its loot, earnings, XP and active time.
Paused time and time between farming visits don’t dilute your hourly rates. Matching vendor sales, auctions and player trades can still be recorded while farming is paused.
Pause behaviour that fits your play
- Alt-tabbing does not pause your farm.
- After WoW marks you AFK for 60 seconds, the session pauses automatically.
- Returning from AFK automatically resumes an AFK-paused session.
- Manually paused sessions remain paused until you resume them.
Commands
/ff— Open the addon/ff pause— Pause or resume farming/ff show— Show the farming bar/ff hide— Hide the farming bar
A few things to know
- Incoming auction gold is an estimate, not confirmed income. It assumes eligible listings sell at their posted prices before fees
- Grey loot is valued before sale, so farm gold includes that unsold value.
- Auction capture turns off after a reload or logout. Enable Track auctions again before posting.
- Automatic sale tracking depends on the information exposed by the WoW Forever client. Unclear matches may need your input.
- Older sessions retain their saved totals, but details that weren’t recorded by earlier versions cannot be reconstructed.
