Cool Down Flash

Keep track of your cooldowns right where you use your abilities.

Cool Down Flash displays digital cooldown numbers directly on supported Blizzard action-bar buttons and adds a brief visual flash when an ability’s cooldown finishes. No separate window, no spell IDs, and no cooldown alert sounds.

Features

• Automatic cooldown numbers on supported action-bar buttons.
• A brief ready flash when an observed cooldown finishes or is reset.
• Charge-aware alerts when an ability goes from zero charges to available.
• Adjustable countdown number size.
• Optional visual flashes.
• Completely silent—no addon sound effects.
• No required dependencies.

Getting Started

Install and enable the addon, then use your abilities normally. No spell configuration is required.

Useful commands:

• /cdf — Show help and current settings.
• /cdf test — Preview the ready flashes.
• /cdf size 22 — Change the countdown number size.
• /cdf flash off — Disable ready flashes.
• /cdf flash on — Enable ready flashes.
• /cdf reset — Restore default settings.

Compatibility

This beta targets WoW Forever 1.60.1 beta and supports detected Blizzard action-bar buttons. Third-party action-bar replacements and pet bars are not currently claimed as supported.

When the client restricts cooldown information, ready flashes may be unavailable. A flash indicates cooldown availability, not that every casting requirement is satisfied.

Feedback

When reporting an issue, include your client version, any action-bar addons you use, the output of /cdf status, and any error message.
