BuffYou is an addon that identifies nearby players who need one of your supported persistent buffs and provides a clickable action list plus an optional next-action keybind.

What it do?

  • Detects the highest supported rank you know for your current class.
  • Finds eligible nearby player targets and checks spell range.
  • Prioritizes actions that buff yourself before actions for other players.
  • Avoids casting over equal or more powerful matching ranks when the target's aura can be inspected.
  • Testing | Supports normal and group/greater aura variants where they share a buff family
  • Displays the number of available actions on the minimap button. When no action is available, the button displays the BuffYou logo instead.
This requires Game > Nameplates > Friendly Player Nameplates to be enabled.

Who it do?

Currently supports persistent buffs for, still being properly tested though so it might not do it to them well:
  • Druids 🐻
  • Mages 🔥
  • Paladins 🙌
  • Priests ✨
  • Shamans 🗿
  • Warlocks 🤘
On other classes, BuffYou disables itself during startup: it does not create the main window, minimap button, settings page, refresh ticker, or event listeners. No need to take up more resources when it's not needed.

How it do?

The main window lists one action per supported buff. A row showing Self casts the spell on you; other rows target and cast on the displayed player. The next-action keybind always uses the first available action, with self actions prioritized.

It do minimap too:

  • Left-click: open the available-buffs window.
  • Right-click: open settings.
  • Drag: move the minimap button.

It slash too:

  • /buffyou or /by: show the available-buffs window.
  • /buffyou hide or /by hide: hide the available-buffs window.

BuffYou is built for WoW Forever.
