Whether you're a paladin of the Light, a priest at a guild meeting, or just a traveler on a long flight path, Bible Verses puts the complete King James Bible in your interface and lets you share it with the people around you.

Look up any verse in seconds, read it in a clean in-game window, and send it to Say, Party, Guild, a whisper, or any chat channel. Encourage a struggling guildmate, start a raid night with a prayer, or keep Scripture close while you quest.

✨ Features

• 📖 The complete King James Version: all 66 books and 31,102 verses, built into the addon. It works offline with no setup.
• 🪟 A Bible reader window: browse by book and chapter, flip pages with the arrow buttons, and click a verse to select it. Shift-click to select a whole passage.
• 💬 Share in any chat: Say, Yell, Party, Raid, Raid Warning, Guild, Officer, Instance, Battleground, Emote, Whisper, or a numbered channel.
• 🔍 Search the Scriptures: type a few words (faith hope, shepherd, love one another) and find every verse that contains them.
• 🎲 Random verse: let the Lord surprise you with a word for today.
• 🙈 "Show me" mode: read a verse privately in your own chat window without sending it to anyone.
• 🧠 Forgiving book names: John, Jn, Rom, Ps, 1 Cor, I John, First Peter, Song of Songs... it knows what you mean.
• 📏 Long verses handled for you: long passages are split cleanly to fit WoW's chat limit.
• 🛡 Built-in spam protection: a per-command verse limit (5 by default, adjustable) and a hard cap of 8 chat lines keep you from flooding chat or getting muted.
• 💾 Remembers your place: reopen the window and you're back in the chapter you were reading, sending to the channel you last chose.

In the reader window

1. Pick a book from the dropdown, then use < and > to move between chapters.
2. Click a verse to select it, then Shift-click another verse to select the whole passage.
3. Choose your chat channel from the dropdown.
4. Press Send to share it, or Show me to read it privately.
5. Use Go to jump to a reference, Find to search, or Random for a surprise verse.

💡 Ideas for Sharing the Word

• 🌅 Open your guild's raid night with a verse of encouragement.
• 🤝 Whisper Joshua 1:9 to a friend before a tough boss: "Be strong and of a good courage... for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
• ✝ Start a Christian guild or community channel and share a daily random verse.
• 📚 Read through a book of the Bible one chapter at a time during your downtime in game.

This addon uses the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Every verse is stored locally, so nothing is downloaded and the addon makes no outside connections.
