BagValue

BagValue is a lightweight addon that tells you how much the items in your bags are worth.

Type /bv anywhere to see the total vendor value of your bags and an estimated Auction House market value.

Usage

Simply type:

/bv

BagValue will display, for example:

Vendor Value: 1g 24s 53c
Market Value: 8g 42s 17c

Visit an Auction House while carrying items to update their cached market prices. Once a price has been collected, BagValue can use it anywhere.

To clear all cached Auction House prices and start fresh:

/bv clear

How are market prices calculated?

BagValue does not rely on an external pricing database.

Instead, when you visit an Auction House, it checks prices for auctionable items currently in your bags and stores the prices it finds.

Because Auction House prices change over time, the displayed market value is an estimate, not a guaranteed sale value.

If BagValue has never collected a price for an item, it will tell you that the item has no cached market price.

Simple by design

BagValue answers one simple question without requiring a large economy suite:

"How much is the stuff in my bags worth?"
