Ant Trail

Every step tells a story.

Ant Trail is a character-history and life-replay addon for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Play your character as you normally would. Ant Trail records the road you travel, the places you visit, the sessions you play, the deaths that divide your Lives, the screenshots you keep, and the people you meet.

Then it turns that history into something you can explore later.

Ant Trail doesn’t tell you where to go. It remembers where you went.

Play My Life

Replay is the heart of Ant Trail.

Press Play My Life to watch your recorded path unfold across Azeroth in chronological order.

Your route, discoveries, Memories, Lives, Chapters, and important events appear as the replay reaches them. Ant Trail only uses movement and events it recorded. It does not invent a road across loading screens, teleports, deaths, or missing history.

Your character builds a history

Ant Trail organizes your adventures at different scales:

Journeys record individual play sessions.
Lives cover the time between deaths.
Chapters mark longer periods in your character’s story.
Chronicle preserves important events.
Trailbook turns that history into something readable.
Memories connect screenshots and keepsakes to when and where they happened.

The longer you play, the more complete that history becomes.

Roads and places can matter again

Ant Trail remembers repeated routes, familiar places, earlier Chapters, and old Memories.

Echoes of the Road can connect something happening now to an earlier part of your history.

Days Gone By can bring back an older moment after enough real time has passed.

A place you passed through once may eventually become one of the places your character knows best.

People I’ve Met

Handshakes remember observable encounters with other adventurers.

A Handshake is an encounter — not a player scan.

When another player continues appearing across your character’s history, they may become a Fellow Traveler and appear again in Lives, Chapters, and Replay.

There are no friendship scores, popularity rankings, or relationship meters. Ant Trail records where your paths crossed and lets that history speak for itself.

Story without constant interruption

Ant Trail records more than it puts on screen.

Most information stays in Chronicle, Trailbook, and Replay until you choose to look at it.

A Trail Whisper may occasionally summarize how your road has changed. Larger Ant Calls are reserved for more important moments.

The Story Curator combines overlapping events so one moment does not become a pile of notifications.

No achievement spam. No progression checklist. No constant banners.

See how your character lived

Over time, Ant Trail can identify broad play patterns called Colonies.

Colonies describe your character’s behavior. They do not provide ranks, rewards, reputation, experience, advantages, or a progress bar to chase.

They are another way to look back at the kind of adventurer your character became.

Share when you choose

Trailcries let you share selected story moments with an existing Guild, Party, or Raid.

Ant Trail never posts chat messages automatically. Every Trailcry requires a direct player click, and personal Handshake information is not included.

Built around trust

Ant Trail runs within the normal World of Warcraft addon environment.

It does not automate gameplay, scan the realm for players, read process memory, intercept network traffic, reconstruct protected information, fabricate missing history, or automatically upload your character data.

If Ant Trail did not observe something, it does not pretend that it did.

Your autobiography is stored locally through normal WoW SavedVariables.

Public Beta

Ant Trail is currently in development for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Beta feedback is especially useful for Replay, story pacing, UI behavior, unusual character histories, and long-session performance.

Play your character. Ant Trail remembers.

Months later, replay the road you walked.
