Warmane will open the Ruby Sanctum on its Onyxia realm on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 14:00 server time, according to an announcement on the Warmane forums. The raid is the last content release of Wrath of the Lich King, and Warmane says it will become available the moment the time arrives, with no downtime.
What Warmane announced
Onyxia is Warmane’s progressive realm, which means Wrath of the Lich King content unlocks in stages instead of all at once. The Ruby Sanctum is the final stage. The announcement says the raid will have 10-player and 25-player modes, and that Normal and Heroic difficulties will open according to the schedule in the post.
That schedule lists one opening time, November 7 at 14:00 server time. If you need to know whether Heroic opens at the same moment as Normal, check the original thread on the Warmane forums. The announcement covers the Onyxia realm only, and it does not mention any other Warmane realm.
What the Ruby Sanctum is
The Ruby Sanctum was added in patch 3.3.5, the last patch of Wrath of the Lich King and the client version Warmane runs. The entrance is beneath Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight. In the story, forces of the Black Dragonflight led by Halion attack the red dragonflight’s sanctum, which is the same attack Warmane describes in its announcement.
It is a short raid with four bosses. Blizzard’s Zarhym said before the patch released that Arthas was still the final boss of the expansion and that the Ruby Sanctum was a complementary raid, in the same way Onyxia’s Lair was paired with Trial of the Crusader.

The bosses
Players fight Baltharus the Warborn, Saviana Ragefire, and General Zarithrian before reaching Halion, the Twilight Destroyer. Blizzard said at the time that each of the first three would be its own encounter.
The Halion fight is split between two places: the Physical Realm and the Twilight Realm. It has three phases, and in the last one Halion fights in both realms at once. That matches Warmane’s note that the encounter takes coordination across both realms. Groups divide their members between the two realms for part of the fight, so everyone needs to know their role before the pull.
What the raid drops
Warmane says the Ruby Sanctum rewards some of the most powerful equipment in Wrath of the Lich King. The announcement does not list item levels or loot tables. Before the raid released in 2010, Blizzard said the loot would be about the same item level as the Lich King’s gear on matching difficulties, with Halion dropping offset pieces and trinkets. Warmane’s own tuning can differ, so read its forum posts for the details that apply to Onyxia.
Getting your addons ready
A raid with phase changes and two realms is easier with a working addon setup, and it is easier to fix an addon problem before the raid than during it. A few things are worth checking before November 7:
- Boss mod: open the AddOns list on the character selection screen and look for a Ruby Sanctum module. If your boss mod does not have one, update it.
- Damage and healing meter: Details! Damage Meter shows damage, healing, and threat after each pull, which helps a group see what to change between attempts.
- Aura tracking: WeakAuras can show the effects you need to watch on your character. Warperia has ready-made WeakAuras profiles if you would rather import than build your own.
- Server-specific builds: some addons have versions made for Warmane’s realms, so check the Warmane addons page for your server’s build.
Install or update addons while the game is closed. The client reads the AddOns folder at launch, so an addon you add while playing will not appear until you restart. After you change settings in an addon, type /reload to apply them without logging out.
If you keep your addons up to date by hand, the Warperia desktop app installs addons into your AddOns folder and checks for updates, which makes the pre-raid check faster. Addons for the 3.3.5a client are listed on the WoW 3.3.5 addons page.
