Overview

Group Bulletin Board (GBB) is a backport of the classic LFG helper, updated and fixed for WoW 3.3.5a private servers. It silently monitors chat channels for dungeon and raid requests, recognizes them by name (in English, German, French, and Russian natively), and displays them in an organized list. You can filter exactly which dungeons you care about, and GBB will notify you via sound or chat message when a new request appears.

This version adds TBC dungeon support and a one‑click chat organizer that moves all LFG spam into a separate chat tab, keeping your main chat clean.

Key Features

• Automatic Request Detection – Scans all chat channels for messages containing dungeon/raid names (English, German, French, Russian). Easily adaptable to any language.

• Clean Bulletin Window – All detected requests are sorted and displayed with timestamp, player name, and dungeon. Left‑click to whisper, Shift + Left‑click to /who.

• Powerful Filters – Filter by dungeon, level range, or use custom search patterns (regular expressions). Collapse dungeon categories by clicking on the dungeon name.

• Smart Aging – Old entries are automatically removed after 150 seconds.

• Notifications – Optional sound and/or chat alert when a new matching request appears.

• TBC Dungeon Support – All Burning Crusade dungeons (from Hellfire Ramparts to Black Temple) are fully recognized and listed separately.

• Chat Organizer – One command (/gbb chat organize) creates a new "LFG" chat tab, subscribes it to all spammy channels (e.g., World, Trade, LookingForGroup), and removes those channels from your default chat tab. You never have to open that tab – GBB works silently in the background and notifies you on your main tab when a match is found.

• Blacklist Words – Exclude unwanted keywords (e.g., "boost", "WTS", "guild") from appearing in the bulletin.

Known Issues & Solutions (from original, plus fixed in this version)

How Custom Search Patterns Work (Fixed & Clarified)

1. Languages + Custom selected → Uses default patterns for all checked languages plus anything you manually entered.

2. Only Custom selected → Overrides completely with your entered patterns. Empty fields = no pattern (nothing matches).

3. Only 1 language selected → Uses that language’s defaults and ignores your custom entries.

Installation

1. Download addon.

2. Extract GroupBulletinBoard into World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/.

3. Restart WoW.

4. Type /gbb to open the main window, then /gbb config to set up filters.

Pro Tips from the Developer

• After running /gbb chat organize, you will never see LFG spam in your main chat again. GBB will still catch every request and notify you.

• Use blacklist words to filter out services like "WTS boost" or "WTT".

• If you play on a non‑English server, you can manually add dungeon names in your language via Custom Search Patterns.
