# Spy Guild KOS Sync

Keeps [Spy](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/spy)'s **Kill On Sight** list in sync across your whole guild - automatically, in the background.

## What it does

- **Automatic sync.** Flag a player and everyone in the guild running the addon gets them within seconds. Removals stick - tombstoned, so one person removing a name doesn't get it re-added by everyone else on the next sync - and merges are last-writer-wins on timestamps, so the whole guild converges on the same list no matter what order messages arrive in.
- **Attribution.** Every entry remembers who flagged the player and where - e.g. *Added by Grimtusk in Netherstorm, 12/06/2026 21:13* - shown under the `Kill On Sight` header on tooltips and via `/spykos who <name>`. Credit goes to whoever flagged them first.
- **Guild win/loss records.** Pools everyone's Spy win/loss tallies so you can see how the guild as a whole has fared against an enemy, not just you. Stored per contributor and summed on display, so resends and resyncs never double-count.
- **Display aliases.** Guild members can be aliased for display with `/spykos alias`. Display-only - the real character name is always what's sent and stored.

It uses its own addon-comm protocol and never touches Spy's own traffic. Uninstalling leaves Spy exactly as it was.

## Requirements

**[Spy](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/spy) is required** - the addon won't load without it.

## Setup

None. It announces a small summary shortly after login and every 10 minutes after, and broadcasts immediately whenever you add or remove someone. Run `/spykos test` (with someone else online who has it) to confirm it's working.

## Commands

| Command | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| `/spykos test` | Ping the guild and list who answers, and whether their list matches yours |
| `/spykos` | Status: entry count, tombstones, how much has synced |
| `/spykos who <name>` | Who added that player, and when |
| `/spykos alias` | List display aliases, or set one with `alias <character> <name>` |
| `/spykos sync` | Re-announce your list now |
| `/spykos push` | Force your full list to the guild |
| `/spykos auto` | Toggle whether incoming changes apply |
| `/spykos quiet` | Toggle the chat notices |
| `/spykos on` / `off` | Enable or disable syncing |

## Worth agreeing on as a guild

Anyone running this can add names to everyone else's list. Inside a guild that's usually the point - but if you'd rather vet additions, `/spykos auto` stops incoming changes from applying while still showing the notices.
