Skillwright
Profession leveling for WoW: Forever, planned from the game's own recipe data.
Instead of a hand-written guide that goes out of date, Skillwright works out the route itself: skill-up colours, reagents, tools, crafting stations and your prices. Pick the goal that suits you:
- Cheapest - the least gold per skill point, using Auctionator, TSM or Skillwright's own auction house scan.
- Fastest - the fewest crafts per skill point.
Beta. Built for WoW: Forever. Expect a few rough edges, and please report what you find.
Features
- A guide beside your profession window. It shows the recipe to make now, how many more, your materials (have / need, bank included) and a Craft button.
- The whole route. The Route tab shows every step to max skill; the Shopping tab lists everything you still need to buy.
- Vendor materials first. Recipes whose materials a vendor sells are preferred, and tools such as enchanting rods are planned in as their own steps.
- Buy at vendors. At a vendor, buy exactly what you're short of - with a total and a confirmation first.
- Learn at trainers. At a trainer, learn the recipes on your route in one click.
- Enchanting. Pick which item to enchant. Skillwright never replaces an enchant on gear you're wearing without asking.
- Knows your recipes. It checks which recipes you know when you log in, so the route is right even before you open the profession window.
- Gaps covered. Where trainer recipes stop giving skill, it lists the recipes that would carry you on.
Getting started
Open your profession window - Skillwright opens beside it. You can also click the Skillwright icon on the minimap or type /skw (or /skillwright).
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/skw | Open or close the guide |
/skw cheap / /skw fast | Switch the route goal |
/skw prices | Where prices come from |
/skw config | Settings |
Left-click the minimap icon to open the guide, right-click it for settings.
Part of YippYapp
Skillwright works fully on its own. It is also part of YippYapp, a small family of addons for WoW: Forever that work even better together:
- Guildhall is your guild's crafting directory. Find a guildie who already makes what your route needs, or post a wanted for the materials you're missing.
- Campfire shows which guildies are nearby, so you can meet up for a trade.
- AutoFeed keeps one-button macros for your best food, water, potions, scrolls and bandages.
- BuffWarden shows the buffs you and your group are missing.
Installed together they share one minimap button, one welcome window (/yippyapp) and one settings page under Options → AddOns → YippYapp.
Looking for the Classic Era version? That's the separate "Skillwright" project.
