Singularity Messenger
Never lose a whisper again.
Singularity Messenger turns World of Warcraft whispers into a modern messaging experience. Every whisper gets its own conversation, complete with chat bubbles, message history, online status, unread badges, and more — all inside one clean window.
Created by The Singularity Gaming Community for World of Warcraft: Forever and Midnight.
One download works with both.
Features
A Better Way to Handle Whispers
Dedicated conversations — Contacts on the left, messages on the right.
Supports both character whispers and Battle.net whispers.
Chat bubbles with timestamps and day separators.
Clickable item and spell links.
Copyable web links.
Conversation history is saved between sessions, with configurable limits.
Optional Whisper Takeover
Want Messenger to completely replace the default whisper experience? It can.
When enabled:
Whispers can be hidden from the default chat window.
Right-click → Whisper opens Singularity Messenger.
The normal Reply key opens your latest conversation.
Clicking a player's name can open Messenger directly.
You can also leave the default WoW whisper behavior untouched.
Smarter Contacts
Your contact list includes:
Class colors
Online and offline status
Pinned conversations
Mute controls
Custom nicknames
Private notes
Notify me when they come online
Group & Channel Conversations
Optionally bring other WoW chats into Messenger as separate conversations under a dedicated Channels tab.
Supported chats include:
Guild
Officer
Party
Raid
Instance
Say
Yell
Trade
General
Custom channels
Alerts & Spam Filtering
Keyword Alerts can notify you when a channel mentions something you're looking for.
For example, you could watch Trade Chat for a specific item, profession, guild recruitment post, or activity.
A built-in spam filter can also help hide:
Gold sellers
Boost spam
Repetitive advertisements
Spam filtering can optionally apply to the default WoW chat window as well.
Faster Messaging
Singularity Messenger includes several quality-of-life tools:
Quick replies
Up/Down arrow message history
Tab to switch between conversations
Conversation export for easy pasting into Discord
Minimap button
Addon Compartment support
Keybinds
/smsgcommands
Lockdown Aware
During certain protected activities, Blizzard restricts what addons can do with whispers.
This includes situations such as:
Boss encounters
Mythic+ keys
PvP matches
When that happens, Singularity Messenger automatically gets out of the way.
Incoming whispers continue appearing in the default chat window so you don't miss them, while outgoing Messenger messages are marked Queued and sent once the restriction ends.
World of Warcraft: Forever Support
Singularity Messenger fully supports WoW: Forever's first + last name system, including names such as:
Ana Forever
Singularity Extras
Players who also use Singularity Messenger can see additional features, including:
Singularity user badge
Typing indicators

Beta Notice
World of Warcraft: Forever is currently in beta through October 21, 2026, and Singularity Messenger should be considered beta software during that period as well.
If something looks wrong, behaves strangely, or breaks after a game update, please let us know on the Singularity Gaming Community Discord.
Including the output from:
/smsg debug
with your report helps tremendously.
