Opulence Guild Sync

Opulence Guild Sync is the addon for members of <Opulence> on World of Warcraft: Forever. Install it, tick it at character select, and play. It reads your own character, shares that with guildmates who also run the addon, and lets an officer export the whole guild to opulenceguild.com so the roster, talents, professions and gear on the site are always current.

There is nothing to set up. It has no options panel and needs no attention after installing. Type /opulence if you want to see what it holds.

If you are not in <Opulence>, the addon does nothing useful: it only talks on your guild's addon channel and only exports if an officer turns that on. It will not break anything, but there is no reason to install it.

What it collects

For your characters, and visible to every guild member running the addon:

• Name, class, race, level, guild rank and faction.
• Talents: tree split and every talent rank.
• Professions with skill levels, and the recipes you know (open each profession window once after installing so they can be read).
• Equipped gear, including enchants and temporary weapon buffs.
• Raid and dungeon lockouts, attunements, reputation standings, PvP rank, character stats, experience and riding skill.
• Raid loot: while you are in a raid instance with a raid group, which bosses were pulled and killed, which rare-or-better items dropped, who received them, and need/greed and /roll results, so the guild website can show loot per raid night and per character. /opulence loot shows the current raid; /opulence loot min <0-5> changes the quality threshold (default 3, rare).
• The guild roster as the game shows it to everyone (rank, level, class, last online, public note).

The export an officer uploads to the website also includes the guild bank contents (captured whenever someone with the addon opens the guild bank) and, from officers' clients only, the officer notes from the roster.

What it never reads

• Your gold, bags, personal bank, mail or auctions.
• Chat, whispers or your friends list.
• Anything about characters outside the guild.
• Dungeon loot, quest items, items below the quality threshold, trades made after the fact, or any loot outside a raid instance. Nothing typed by players is stored; loot names come from the game's own loot and roll messages.
• Anything on your computer. World of Warcraft addons cannot read files or reach the internet, and this one only ever sends to the in-game guild addon channel.

Officer notes are shared only by officers' clients, automatically, and only while the game says that character may view them. Members' clients never read or share them. An officer can switch it off with /opulence officernotes off.

How syncing works

1. On login the addon reads your character and sends the profile to the guild addon channel, then asks everyone online for theirs. Replies come back after a random short delay so a raid login never floods the channel.
2. When something changes (respec, level, skill-up, gear swap, boss kill) the profile is re-read and re-sent only if it differs.
3. Every copy keeps what it hears and passes it on when asked, so members who never play at the same time as an officer still reach the export through whoever overlapped with both.
4. Each copy caps how much it sends per message and per minute.
5. An officer presses Sync now, reloads, and a small companion app on their PC uploads the saved file to the guild website. The companion is a separate program for officers, downloaded from the guild website; it is not part of this addon and is not hosted on CurseForge. Members never need it.

Privacy

The data listed under "What it collects" is visible to guild members running the addon and, once an officer exports it, on the guild website. If you would rather not share it, do not install the addon or untick it at character select. /opulence reset confirm wipes everything this copy holds about anyone. Nothing is ever sent outside the game by the addon itself.

Commands

• /opulence opens the window (status, Sync now, Export). /opul also works.
• /opulence help lists every command.
• /opulence me prints what was collected about this character.
• /opulence status shows how much guild data this copy holds.
• /opulence sync asks everyone online for their data.
• /opulence export rebuilds the export and selects it for Ctrl+C.
• /opulence exporter on|off|auto and /opulence officernotes on|off|auto are for officers. Both default to auto: on for officers, off for members, so there is nothing to set.
• /opulence loot shows the current or last raid's bosses and drops; /opulence loot min <0-5> sets the lowest item quality recorded.
• /opulence roster refreshes the guild roster.
• /opulence debug lists which game functions this client exposes.
• /opulence reset confirm wipes everything this copy collected.

Who it is for

Members and officers of <Opulence> on World of Warcraft: Forever. Officers should also read the README for the export setup and the companion app. Anyone else is welcome to look at the code (MIT licence) and adapt it for their own guild.
