Opt-in horror screamers for World of Warcraft: Forever only.

Distant footsteps, an unsettling breath, a fleeting face, a pause... then the final apparition. Inspired by an idea from MamokyTV.

Compatibility

This beta targets Forever 1.60.1 / Interface 16001 only. Retail, Classic Era and other clients are unsupported. Effects are blocked on a different interface version. Lua tests and package checks passed; full in-game verification of this public release is still required. Future beta patches are not automatically supported.

Features

• Four faces: Michael Jackson, a specter, a cracked mask and a night creature.
• Seven animated effects: zoom, spectral doubles, VHS slices, side ambush, emerging shadow, stepped approach and distorted mirrors.
• Nine suspense scenes, including false alarms and a door scene with 3.4 seconds of silence before the finale.
• Original synthetic laughter, footsteps, heartbeat, breath, growls, porcelain, bells, scraping metal and impacts.
• Four organized settings tabs; 35/65/100% addon gain; SFX or Master channel.
• Separate combat/out-of-combat permissions, optional low-health guard, configurable delays and optional combat/zone triggers.
• Immediate stop command and configurable emergency key binding.

Getting started

New installs start disabled, with combat permission off. Type /mh and enable surprises, or use /mh on. /mh off stops addon effects and sounds. /mh test tests immediately; /mh suspense previews a scene. Manual tests ignore automatic gameplay guards. Overlays do not capture clicks but can obscure your view: configure their use knowingly, especially in Hardcore. Settings labels are currently French.
