Meimi Ability Cost

A simple, lightweight World of Warcraft addon tailored for the WoW Forever Beta (and modern Retail) that overlays the exact resource cost of your abilities directly on your action bar buttons.

Features

• Dynamic Cost Display: Shows the numeric cost of abilities (Mana, Energy, Rage, Focus, Health) directly on your action buttons.
• Resource Coloring: Cost text is color-coded to match the resource type (e.g., Blue for Mana, Yellow for Energy, Red for Rage).
• Insufficient Resource Indicator: The cost text turns gray whenever you do not currently have enough of the required resource to cast the ability.
• Real-Time Updates: Instantly updates costs when they are modified by buffs (like Clearcasting, procs) or stance/form changes.
• Macro & Extended Bar Support: Works with macros that cast spells, and supports all default action bars (Action Bar 1 through 8).

Installation

1. Download the latest release (MeimiAbilityCost_Forever_v1.1.0.zip) from the releases folder.
2. Extract the MeimiAbilityCost folder into your World of Warcraft AddOns directory: InterfaceAddOns (e.g., _forever_InterfaceAddOns or _retail_InterfaceAddOns)
3. Log into the game and make sure MeimiAbilityCost is checked in your AddOns menu.

Usage

The addon works automatically out of the box with zero configuration required, attaching cleanly to all Blizzard action bars.

Configuration

You can configure text placement directly in-game without needing any other addons:

1. Type /mac or /abilitycost in chat, or open Game Menu (Esc) -> Options -> AddOns -> MeimiAbilityCost.
2. Select whether the cost text should appear at the Top, Center, or Bottom of your action buttons.
