LogWarden
Never forget to start your combat log again. LogWarden turns logging on the moment you enter an instance, asks before stopping it when you leave, and shows you at a glance whether it's running.
Features
- Automatic logging in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arenas and scenarios. No more forgetting
/combatlogbefore the first pull. - Asks before stopping. When you leave the instance, a popup asks "Stop combat logging?". Choose No to keep the log going.
- Zone back in safely. If you pop back into the instance before answering, the question disappears and logging simply continues.
- ON/OFF indicator on screen: always shown inside instances (green ON or red OFF), and outside only while logging is on.
- Advanced Combat Logging warning. An orange note appears if the setting is off, since you need it for complete logs and Warcraft Logs uploads.
- Respects your choice. If you start logging yourself with
/combatlog, LogWarden never stops it for you. - Lightweight. No timers or per-frame updates. It only reacts to zone changes, setting changes and logging being turned on or off.
Slash commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/lw | Unlock or lock the indicator (drag it while unlocked) |
/lw unlock | Unlock the indicator so you can move it |
/lw lock | Lock the indicator in place |
/lw reset | Move the indicator back to the top of the screen |
/logwarden works the same as /lw.
Notes
- Log files are saved to
World of Warcraft<version>LogsWoWCombatLog-<date>.txt, ready for Warcraft Logs. - Turn on Options > Network > Advanced Combat Logging for complete logs.
- If you stop logging with
/combatloginside an instance, it stays off until your next loading screen or zone change inside an instance.
