Overview
LibBabble-ItemSet-3.0 is a localization library for World of Warcraft item set names.
It provides addon authors with localized names for in-game item sets. This library does not provide a user interface or gameplay features by itself; it is intended to be embedded by addons that need item set name lookups across WoW client locales.
Localization
Most localized item set names are extracted from World of Warcraft client data, so manual translation contributions are usually not needed.
Please do not edit generated Lua localization files directly. Generated entries may be replaced during future data exports or library updates.
If you find a missing, incorrect, or inconsistent item set name, please report it through the project’s issue tracker or CurseForge comments.
When reporting an issue, please include:
- The English item set name
- The affected game locale
- The localized name shown in the game client, if available
- The relevant WoW client version or game branch
- The item set ID, item IDs, or a screenshot, if available
Some names may appear untranslated because the localized name is identical to the English name.
Missing or Incorrect Item Sets
Item set data can change between World of Warcraft versions, and some older or internal records may not be appropriate for inclusion.
If an item set is missing, please report it with enough context to identify the correct record. Reports that include an item set ID, related item IDs, or an in-game screenshot are especially helpful.
For Addon Authors
Use LibBabble-ItemSet-3.0 when an addon needs to look up or display a localized item set name.
Because this is an embedded library, end users normally do not need to install or update it separately. Addon authors should include a compatible copy of the library or declare it as a dependency according to their packaging workflow.
