LegacyNext
Which Legacy challenge is closest to done, and which of your characters should finish it.
World of Warcraft: Forever's Legacy system gives your account points for challenges spread across every class, profession, dungeon and battleground. No single character can earn more than 29 of the 65. LegacyNext shows what to work on next, and which alt is best placed to do it.
Type /lgn to open the window.
Next Up
Your unfinished Legacy challenges, in three groups:
- In progress, sorted by how close each one is to done
- Not started, in the game's own order
- No progress shown, for challenges the game reports no progress on, like class levelling and PvP ranks. They sit below the list instead of reading as 0%.
Each row shows what's left ("1/150", "0/42000") and the points it awards. Hover a row for the description, every criterion, and which of your saved characters have the profession it needs.
Above the list, the reward track: your Legacy points, points to the next reward, and that reward's name.
Other classes' challenges are hidden, since your current character can never earn them. A line says how many. You can filter the list by the game's own Legacy categories.

Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/lgn or /legacynext | Open or close the window. Escape closes it too |
/lgn help | List every command |
/lgn roster forget Name-Realm | Remove a deleted character from the roster |
/lgn uidump, /lgn probe and /lgn dump print what the addon reads as copyable text. Please paste their output into bug reports.
Read-only
LegacyNext never touches your Legacy trees. It only reads them, so it can't spend, refund or move a point.
Known limitations
- Built for the Forever beta and checked against client build 1.60.1 (70124). Blizzard changes challenge IDs between builds. LegacyNext hardcodes none of them, but a new build can still change what the game reports.
- Class-levelling challenges get no "closest character" match, because the game doesn't give addons their level thresholds. Only tradeskill challenges do.
- 34 challenges report no progress through the game at all, so they can only show as done or not done.
Installing by hand
Put the LegacyNext folder in World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/. LegacyNext.toc must sit directly inside it.
