iWillRemember — Personalized Player Notes for WoW Forever

Introduction

iWillRemember is a social memory and player-notes addon built for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Save notes about the players you meet, assign relationship ratings, review previous groups, and optionally share information with trusted friends. Whether somebody was helpful, memorable, unreliable, or best avoided, iWillRemember keeps that information available whenever you meet them again.

Player Notes

Create personalized records for characters you encounter:

• Add custom notes to any player
• Assign positive or negative relationship ratings
• Store up to ten notes per character
• Preserve note author, date, level, and history
• Edit or remove individual notes
• Mark notes as personal so they are never shared
• Search and manage saved players through the database

Your player information is stored account-wide, allowing your characters to use the same notes.

WoW Forever Names

iWillRemember supports Forever’s first-and-last character names throughout the addon:

• Target and portrait menus
• Party and raid menus
• Note creation and editing
• Group Log entries
• Database searches
• Tooltips and chat icons
• Friend synchronization

Space-separated and hyphenated versions of the same character name are normalized into one player record.

Tooltips

Saved information appears directly when you inspect a character:

• Relationship rating
• Current note
• Note author
• Note date
• Character information
• Number of saved notes

Forever’s modern tooltip system is supported, allowing notes to appear when hovering characters and character links.

Target Frame Integration

Relationship dragons appear around the target portrait for immediate visual recognition.

Supported displays include:

• Default WoW Forever target frames
• Easy Frames
• Shadowed Unit Frames Different dragon designs represent the relationship assigned to the player.

Chat Integration

Relationship icons can appear beside remembered players in chat:

• Icons automatically follow each chat window’s font size
• Hovering an icon displays the player’s saved information
• Clicking the icon opens the detailed player record
• Complete Forever character names are preserved

Chat icons can be disabled independently if you prefer an unmodified chat display.

Group Log

iWillRemember can automatically record players encountered in parties and raids:

• Character name
• Class and level
• Date and time
• Zone or instance
• Party or raid type
• Number of encounters

Players from the Group Log can quickly be added to your permanent notes database.

Guild Watchlist

Track entire guilds and automatically recognize their members:

• Add guilds to a personal watchlist
• Assign a default relationship rating
• Add a default note for imported members
• Automatically identify watched-guild members when encountered
• Review and manage watchlist entries from the database

Group Warnings

When joining a party or raid, iWillRemember can warn you about negatively rated players:

• On-screen warning
• Optional warning sound
• Immediate access to the saved player details

This gives you time to review previous experiences before continuing with the group.

Friend Synchronization

Share player information with trusted in-game friends:

• Automatically share new notes
• Choose between all friends or a personal whitelist
• Share complete note histories
• Manually share the full database
• Merge newer information without duplicating notes
• Synchronize note deletions so removed records do not return
• Keep personal notes excluded from synchronization

Both players must be compatible in-game friends for synchronization to work.

Customization

Adjust how iWillRemember presents player information:

• Enable or disable target-frame dragons
• Enable or disable chat icons
• Enable or disable Group Log recording
• Enable or disable group warnings and sounds
• Customize relationship names
• Choose custom relationship icons
• Configure synchronization and whitelist access
• Control the minimap button
