Keep your enchanting service organized. Grimlight Enchanting brings learned recipes, buyer requests, the native trade workflow and confirmed service history into one desk for World of Warcraft Forever.

What it does

  • Use the service workbench: the Grimlight Depot look in ink, bone and brass, with a serif wordmark, a Veruca banner on the Dashboard and a numbered serif title on every page. A slim title bar holds round actions and page search, and a sidebar of color-coded pages with record counts folds down to icons. Summary cards and searchable journals carry icons with status and quality colors, with a reading pane beside each list. Settings are plain switches. The trade helper and request alert share the same surfaces and controls. Names, figures and records use the same font as the other Grimlight addons.
  • Read the dashboard: Today, 7-day and 30-day views show retained successful casts, confirmed enchanted trades, enchant tips, disenchant counts, shaded weapon/armor charts with hover inspection, and top enchants. Unrelated trade gold and wallet changes stay separate.
  • Plan your Enchanting leveling: Powerlevel reads the game's current skill-up eligibility, difficulty and potential points for learned enchants, rods and oils. It uses complete Grimlight Auctions scans from the matching realm and faction, with an explicit choice for a neutral market. Missing prices stay unknown; old scans are labeled stale. Compare ingredient values, native orange point costs and your own recent measured craft results. Review cheaper yellow/green alternatives and their break-even chance against an orange recipe, inspect materials in your bags and open the native recipe yourself. A compact Craft next panel shows cost per point, materials for one craft and what to buy. Only learned recipes that can still grant skill appear in Powerlevel or its export. Unlearned and gray patterns are excluded. The full-width recipe list always groups orange, yellow and green, with matching difficulty labels and cost order within each color. Select alternatives without changing the mode’s cheapest recommendation. More info provides a short price/chance tooltip; conditional target shopping scenarios remain in the CSV export.
  • Use your learned recipes: build the service catalogue from recipes your character actually knows, rather than claiming every enchant is available.
  • Review buyer requests: monitor say, yell and joined channels inside capital cities and guild chat anywhere, match requests to learned recipes and keep ambiguous requests available for review. Recruitment and training chatter is excluded. Request alerts slide down from the top center, pause their eight-second reading timer on hover, and slide up when dismissed. The current customer stays stable while up to five later alerts wait; Review selects the exact request. Settings can show a sample alert without sending anything.
  • Manage replies: review requests and send profession information through the client's supported chat actions. Automatic whisper and guild replies are optional settings and are off by default.
  • Work beside native trade: search affordable learned enchants using materials in your bags, inspect native effects and quantities, and filter for the customer's non-traded item. Click an enchant, then target the item yourself; replacement confirmation and trade acceptance remain native. Shift-click inserts an unsent recipe link into your chat draft.
  • Keep service history: record confirmed trades and gold observations, distinguish pending or failed outcomes, and browse local history and statistics.
  • Track disenchant observations: each disenchant is matched to its input item from the bag slot you used, the slot the client locks, the item that leaves your bags or the name on the cast, and the record says which. Browse materials as a grouped slot grid with collected counts and observed-rate bars, ranked observed sources, exact item levels or ten-level ranges, source tooltips and full retained details in the reading pane. Unobserved sources stay unknown. A copied, bounded public snapshot remains available for Grimlight Auctions estimates.
  • Review and export details: search lifetime retained-history rankings, inspect session records, export the current view as CSV and manage a character-local tip leaderboard with explicit additions, corrections, removal and completed-trade classification.

Getting started

Install the addon in your Forever client's Interface/AddOns folder, enable it and type /ge to open the desk. Open your own Enchanting profession window to refresh learned recipes and a valid profession link. Previously validated service recipes can be restored on a later login. Powerlevel requires a fresh native profession snapshot in each loaded session. Unsupported or incomplete native data remains unavailable for refresh.

For Powerlevel, install and enable Grimlight Auctions, run a complete scan at your auction house, then open your own Enchanting and select Powerlevel or type /ge powerlevel. Plan options sets your target within the current training cap, defaults to Guaranteed gains, optionally selects Lowest estimated cost, and chooses the market. A missing addon, missing scan, unknown material price and reached training cap have separate explanations.

Review the request list, check the matched enchant and use the relevant reply or native trade controls. You remain responsible for confirming the customer, recipe, materials and trade contents before completing a service.

Request toasts show the customer's last known zone automatically from available online friend, guild or group data. Check location opens WoW's Who window and updates the same toast for a matching player. Automatic checks do not send Who queries or whispers. Locations remain unknown when the client has no result; manual checks have a ten-second interval and can be delayed or restricted by the game. Location observations are temporary and are not saved in service history.

Communication settings

Request monitoring and manual review are available without enabling automatic whisper or guild replies. Automatic replies, completed-trade receipts and enchant announcements are off by default, with individual settings. Advertising is a manual /ge advertise <joined channel number> action in a capital city, limited to one offer every two minutes. The addon does not join channels for you.

Service messages are spaced by at least eight seconds, guild offers by one minute, and customer replies by ten minutes. Native chat readiness, restrictions and opt-outs apply; blocked automatic messages are not replayed later as a backlog. English request matching is available in capital-city chat and, when enabled, guild chat. Crafting and trade acceptance remain in the native game windows.

Left-click the round Advertise action in the title bar to use a joined native Trade channel, or choose a joined channel number when no suitable native channel is available. Right-click Advertise to edit wording using {link}, {rank} and {city} with a preview and 255-byte validation. Editing never sends. Left-click the minimap launcher for the workbench; right-click it to advertise. The launcher supports addon button trays, including EllesmereUI, and respects their placement and temporary hiding. Customer Ignore is character-local and can be cleared in Settings.

Review these settings before serving customers. Use respectful message frequency and stop automated communication when it is unwelcome or disallowed by the current client or server rules.

History and privacy

Recipes, preferences, customer requests, trade history and statistics are local SavedVariables. A missing event or unconfirmed action is not proof that a trade or enchant completed. The download contains no personal customers, conversations, account settings or recovery snapshots.

The optional observation API returns copied disenchant counts, not customer identities, chat or trade history. Incomplete input-item or loot-collection evidence is excluded from yield estimates. No external publisher is configured by installing this addon.

Powerlevel reads the already loaded Auctions schema-1 local scans without changing that addon's data or making AH requests. It stores up to 200 recent, correlated successful crafts and their skill gains locally for your own estimates. An interrupted cast, ambiguous overlapping event, old imported history or archived data is not new skill-up evidence. Estimates use at least five relevant samples within the last day and ten skill levels; your sample count and range remain available in the export. No player records or scan prices ship in the download.

History is bounded per character: 500 activity, trade, cast and disenchant records; 200 requests; 100 sessions; and 250 wallet changes. Lifetime confirmed-trade totals remain separate. Detailed history remains bounded. Lifetime enchant counts retain recorded casts beyond the detail limit; earlier retained casts and validated craft samples establish labeled minimums without adding overlapping evidence. Missing activity is never invented. Reload resumes the session; older records with no observed ending say End unobserved. Automatic tip counting requires a confirmed completed trade with readable evidence of a successful customer enchant. Ambiguous or personal casts do not authorize automatic tips; Count as tip is an explicit alternative for a separate completed tip trade. Tip corrections do not rewrite original trade gold. Local CSV export is available; review private information before sharing it.

Compatibility and availability

This project targets WoW Forever, interface 16001 / game version 1.60.1. v0.7.7 fixes Check location for Forever first-name/surname combinations and shows the returned location inside the same toast. Reading pauses during lookup, with eight seconds to act after a result or timeout. Passive locations, toast animation, request filters, Lifetime counts and session continuity remain. Use /reload after updating an existing installation, then open your own Enchanting and Sync enchants. A first install of the bundled typefaces and banner may require a client restart. It uses the existing GrimlightEnchantingDB save identity and preserves supported preferences and history. Other WoW editions are not currently supported.

Public downloads support fresh installations. Do not install over an existing private build until its data upgrade has been reviewed. The public package does not import those older save layouts, and changing a manifest can cause the game to replace its saved file on logout. Within the Grimlight save identity, an incompatible format is left intact and the desk reports that an upgrade is required. Keep backed-up service records until an upgrade is explicitly supported.

Grimlight Auctions is required for Powerlevel. The other Enchanting pages and service features work independently. Auctions is separately installed and is not bundled. The workbench keeps its own look whether or not EllesmereUI is installed. Its reading text uses that addon's font when it is installed, and its minimap button tray is still supported. Grimlight Messages can use the validated enchanting profession link, and Grimlight Auctions can use observed disenchant counts. These integrations are optional and are not bundled.

Leveling estimates

The native skill-up flag confirms eligibility; it does not expose exact yellow/green probabilities or every future difficulty transition. Lowest estimated cost prefers native orange point costs or sufficiently sampled personal gain rates. If neither is available, the cheapest eligible craft is shown with an explicit unknown-odds warning and best-case cost floor. Guaranteed gains is the default and restricts the recommendation to the cheapest priced orange recipe per current skill point. If no priced orange recipe is available, it explicitly stops the guaranteed recommendation. Re-evaluate after every gain; the game can turn that recipe yellow.

Shopping quantities are scenarios at the current points or observed average, not a verified full route to maximum skill. Recheck after every gain; newly learned recipes, difficulty changes, required rods/tools/target items, training and recipe acquisition costs can change the choice. Those acquisition costs are not assumed free or included in material-only totals. Scanned asking prices are not live stock, sale prices or guaranteed purchase costs. Crafting, buying, targeting and trade acceptance remain manual in the native client.

Support and updates

Use this project's CurseForge comments for bugs and suggestions. Include the addon version, Forever client version, steps to reproduce, the affected recipe or service action and any Lua error. Remove customer names, whispers and personal transaction history from public reports.
