GMUI
GMUI is a clean, modern UI replacement built specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever.
GMUI is designed around a simple idea: replace and modernize the parts of the default World of Warcraft interface that matter most while keeping the UI clean, responsive, and out of the way during gameplay.
Rather than assembling a collection of unrelated addons, GMUI provides a cohesive interface where each component follows the same visual style and layout philosophy.
Features
GMUI currently includes:
Custom Unit Frames — Clean player and target frames designed for quick readability without unnecessary clutter.
Contextual Target Information — Important information such as raid markers, leader status, PvP status, quest indicators, classification, auras, and target-of-target information appears when relevant.
Custom Cast Bars — Player and target cast bars with interruptibility information and player latency visualization.
Swing Timers — Integrated melee and ranged swing timers that match the rest of the GMUI interface.
Blizzard UI Integration — GMUI replaces the appropriate Blizzard UI elements while working with systems such as Edit Mode rather than continuously fighting the default interface.
Consistent Layout — Components are designed as parts of one UI instead of independent widgets layered over the default interface.
Built for WoW: Forever
GMUI is being developed specifically around the World of Warcraft: Forever client and API.
That means compatibility decisions, Blizzard frame handling, and new features are being developed and tested against Forever rather than simply adapting an existing Retail UI.
Development
GMUI is under active development. New interface components and customization options will continue to be added as the addon grows.
The goal is not to replace every piece of the World of Warcraft interface simply because it can.
The goal is to build a UI that is clean, cohesive, readable, and useful.
