FPSLog
Does your FPS get worse the longer you stay logged in? FPSLog quietly records your frame rate through each play session, so you can see exactly how much it drops over time and prove that a relog brings it back.
Features
- Automatic tracking: saves your average and lowest FPS every 5 minutes, along with the zone and how long you've been logged in.
- Drop at a glance:
/fpsloglists this session's readings and shows the change from your first reading to your latest, with drops of 10% or more in red. - Session history:
/fpslog historycompares your last sessions side by side, so you can see whether each relog resets your FPS. - Fair comparisons:
/fpslog nowsaves a reading on the spot. Take one right after logging in, then again in the same place hours later. - Reload aware: a
/reloadkeeps adding to the same session instead of starting a new one. - Clean numbers: loading screens are left out so they don't drag the averages down.
- Lightweight: checks FPS once a second, with no frames or windows on screen.
Slash commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/fpslog or /fpsl | Shows this session's FPS readings and how much it has dropped |
/fpslog history | Compares your recent sessions (first reading vs last reading) |
/fpslog now | Saves a reading right now |
/fpslog interval <minutes> | Changes how often a reading is saved (1 to 60, default 5) |
/fpslog clear | Deletes all saved data |
Notes
- FPS depends a lot on where you are. A busy city will always be lower than an empty field, so compare readings taken in the same place.
- The game caps your FPS while it's in the background, so time spent alt-tabbed shows up as low readings.
- Addons can't see the game's total memory use. To check that, watch the game in Windows Task Manager alongside FPSLog.
- Up to 30 sessions are kept. All data is stored in your SavedVariables file.
