ForeverFlightTimer
A lightweight flight timer with a compact Classic-style bar. ForeverFlightTimer learns your flight durations and shows them at the flight master before you take off.
Features
- Automatic flight timing: Records the duration of completed flights.
- Flight master previews: Hover over a destination to see its learned flight time.
- Countdown display: Known routes show an estimated remaining time. Your first flight on an unknown route shows elapsed time instead.
- Classic appearance: A simple gold bar with a Classic-style border and readable timer.
- Movable and scalable: Adjust the position and size to fit your interface.
- Instant landing hide: The timer disappears as soon as the game reports that your flight has ended.
- Saved settings: Your layout and learned flight times are preserved between sessions.
- No external libraries required.
How It Works
Visit a flight master and hover over a destination. If you have already completed that route, its estimated duration appears in the tooltip and timer bar.
Unknown routes display “Not measured yet” in the tooltip. Complete the flight once to record its duration for future trips.
Flight times are stored separately by realm, faction, client language, direction, and route. Flying somewhere does not automatically teach the return journey.
Controls
Type /FFT or /fft to display help.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Move the timer | Hold the left mouse button and drag |
| Resize the timer | Scroll the mouse wheel over it |
| Lock or unlock the timer | Right-click |
| Show a preview | /fft show |
| Hide the preview | /fft hide |
| Lock the timer | /fft lock |
| Unlock and show a preview | /fft unlock |
| Set the scale to 120% | /fft scale 1.2 |
| Set the bar width | /fft width 170 |
| Reset position and size | /fft reset |
| Show diagnostic information | /fft debug |
Moving and resizing require the timer to be unlocked. Resetting the layout does not delete learned flight times.
Languages
Automatically follows your WoW client language:
English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
English is used as the fallback. Commands remain the same in every language.
Compatibility and Notes
Designed for the Forever client using Interface 16001. Compatibility with other WoW clients has not been verified.
Flight times are learned estimates, not guaranteed arrival times. Interrupted flights may be excluded from learning. Reloading the interface or logging in during a flight does not record that partial journey as a complete route.
Custom flight-map addons may require additional compatibility support.
