Forever Pet Scanner is a World of Warcraft Forever addon designed to help Hunters discover, compare, and track tameable beasts more efficiently.

The addon automatically scans nearby units through target, mouseover, and visible nameplates, then stores useful pet-related information in an in-game database.

  • Click table headers to sort ascending or descending
  • Quickly find the fastest or slowest pets

• Minimap button

  • Open or close the scanner from the minimap
  • Drag the icon to reposition it

• Unique sighting tracking

  • Repeated mouseover on the same creature does not artificially increase the Seen counter
  • Sightings are tracked using unit GUIDs where available

Why use it?

WoW Forever contains many pet and creature changes that differ from original Classic behavior. Attack speeds, pet families, and other properties may not always match older databases.

Forever Pet Scanner helps build an in-game, community-driven database based on actual Forever client data.

It is especially useful for Hunters looking for:

Commands

/petscan

Open or close the main window.

/petscan debugtarget

Show detailed API information for your current target.

/petscan debugpet

Show detailed API information for your current mouseover unit.

/petscan sync

Request synchronization with other Forever Pet Scanner users in your current guild/group/raid.

/petscan wipe

Clear the local database.

Notes

Forever Pet Scanner reads only information exposed by the WoW client API.

Some values may be hidden by Forever's secret-value system in certain situations. When that happens, the addon safely skips unavailable values instead of generating Lua errors.

Shared data currently works only between players who have an available WoW addon communication channel, such as the same guild, party, raid, or instance group.
