Forever Fishing combines smart fishing controls, gear and lure management, Master Chef, catch tracking, guides, maps, events, voice alerts, and powerful quality of life features in one polished addon — while keeping protected gameplay actions player controlled.

Latest Major Update

Update Notice: The latest update includes fixes for several recently identified issues. Please make sure you’re on the latest version of Forever Fishing, and let me know if you run into anything further.

The latest major update introduces Master Chef, with a smart minimal click fishing bar flyout for fishing meals and camp items, Mini Master Chef for Cooking and Crafting Queues, redesigned drop downs into flyouts, smarter controls, resizable interfaces, and extensive quality of life improvements.

It also introduces smarter Spacebar fishing controls: When Spacebar is set as your Fishing Key, Shift + Space lets you jump while the fishing bar is open.

Coming soon: a full Fishing Session History, an all new Achievement system, expanded guide content, more interactive map pin links, and even more polish and smart refinements across Forever Fishing.

Smart Master Chef

Master Chef brings fishing meals and useful camp items directly to the fishing bar.

Its smart flyout automatically shows:

• Fishing meals you can currently cook.
• Camp items you have the materials to craft.
• Camp items already in your bags ready to place.

Cook, craft, or place with minimal clicks and without manually opening profession windows. Forever Fishing handles supporting profession preparation where possible while protected actions remain player controlled.

Mini Master Chef & Queues

Mini Master Chef provides compact access to Grilling and Campfire without opening the full Journal.

Choose quantities or build Cooking and Crafting Queues, with material tracking and configurable sounds to let you know when the next queued stack is ready for input.

Grilling automatically checks learned recipes, Cooking skill, ingredients, and available quantities, while Campfire tracks useful items from your relevant professions.

Optional Campfire milestones are also included in the Fishing Leveling Route.

One Button Fishing

Choose a keyboard or mouse input and use it throughout the fishing flow for preparation, lures, casting, and hooking your catch.

Space is the default Fishing Key for new installs.

While the fishing bar is open, Shift + Space jumps your character so using Space for fishing does not take away easy access to jumping. When the bar closes, Space automatically returns to normal WoW jumping.

The fishing bar can also open automatically when a fishing rod is equipped.

Advanced Camera Assisted Fishing

Adaptive scan paths, cursor guidance, adjustable scanning, and memory of previous bobber locations help locate difficult or distant bobbers without requiring extreme camera zoom.

These systems are designed specifically around WoW's addon limitations while keeping gameplay actions player controlled.

Smart Gear & Lure Management

Gear

Automatically detect and manage fishing equipment, including support for dual specialisations and multiple Equipment Manager sets.

Forever Fishing remembers what fishing replaced so your previous equipment can be restored afterward, while discovered compatible gear is available directly from the Gear flyout.

Lures

Automatically use the best available lure or keep your preferred lure selected, with automatic refreshing during the fishing flow and clear warnings when a lure becomes unavailable.

Catch Journal & Statistics

Track fishing time, casts, catches, success rate, catches per hour, average catch time, unique catches, item records, locations, values, and lifetime statistics.

Catch tracking is designed to reliably handle stacked items, changing loot slots, repeated loot events, and delayed loot.

Detailed sessions are also being recorded in preparation for the upcoming Session History system, alongside a new Achievement system currently in development.

Catch Collection

Explore a curated and growing collection of confirmed WoW Forever fishing catches and track your discoveries.

Entries can include suggested waters, effective Fishing skill, method, special conditions, rarity, and location guidance, with the collection expanding as new catches are introduced or confirmed.

Catch Values

Forever Fishing can display vendor values alongside optional Auctionator or TSM auction estimates, including estimated value per hour.

Auction prices are estimates based on available pricing data and are not recorded sales.

Forever Fishing Field Guide

A built-in guide covering:

• Fishing 1–300 progression and recommended routes.
• Trainers and profession camps.
• Fishing meals, recipes, and vendors.
• Fishing gear and skill items.
• Tournament rewards and rare catches.
• Useful quests and fishing locations.

Relevant Fishing and Cooking requirements automatically change colour based on your current skill.

Smart Journal & Map Navigation

Journal content is interconnected, allowing supported catches, Master Chef recipes, camp items, trainers, vendors, quests, and guide locations to link directly to related information.

Supported destinations can open on the correct world map with a dedicated Forever Fishing marker, while smart back navigation returns you to where you were.

Relevant guidance can also automatically adapt to your character's Alliance or Horde faction.

Fishing Events

Track upcoming dates in both realm and local time, with expandable event information and guidance.

Fishing Alerts & Voice Packs

Configure separate alerts for fishing attention, idle recast reminders, confirmed catches, and escaped fish.

Male and Female voice packs are available alongside normal sounds, with preview, repeat, timing, and volume controls.

Forever Fishing can also keep important splash audio active while WoW is in the background and safely restore temporary sound settings afterward.

Catch Recap & Fast Auto Loot

Catch Recap briefly displays confirmed fishing loot with item icons and quantities before fading away. It is movable and enabled by default for new or reset settings.

Fast Auto Loot can speed up ordinary confirmed catches where possible, while uncertain situations are left to WoW's normal loot handling.

Clean Fishing View

Optionally hide the regular Blizzard UI while the fishing bar is open and restore it automatically when you finish.

Necessary interface elements can still be temporarily revealed when required.

Customisable Forever UI

Resize, reposition, scale, and personalise the addon to suit your interface.

Customisation includes the fishing bar, Journal, Mini Master Chef, flyout icon size and spacing, icons per row, Journal text size, and individual or combined flyout layouts.

Flyouts can also intelligently open above or below the fishing bar depending on available screen space.

Getting Started

Equip a fishing rod and the Forever Fishing controls can open automatically.

You can also type /fish or click the minimap icon at any time.

Choose your preferred Fishing Key and use the same button to prepare, cast, and hook.

Important: Forever Fishing does not automatically catch fish. Press your Fishing Key when the bobber splashes to hook your catch. Protected gameplay actions always remain player controlled and within Blizzard's addon rules.

Forever Addon Family

Forever Fishing is part of the Forever Addon family — focused, highly optimized addons designed to work independently while sharing a consistent interface and launcher system.

When multiple Forever addons by Hamish336 are installed, their minimap entries automatically combine into one shared Forever Addon menu to reduce clutter.
