Everfrost — Find your class rhythm. Forever.

Everfrost is a lightweight, standalone ability-reference addon for WoW Forever. It covers levels 1–30 across all nine classes and 27 talent trees, with recommendations filtered against the spells your character has actually learned.

Features

  • Automatic class, level, and dominant talent-tree detection, plus manual specialization overrides.
  • Learned-spell and trained-rank filtering.
  • A compact, movable panel with ability icons and conditional hover guidance.
  • Single-target and AoE views; healing and damage views; Feral Cat/Bear and Survival Ranged/Melee controls.
  • Native cooldown sweeps when supported by the client.
  • Per-character position, scale, visibility, and mode settings.

A reference, not an automated rotation

Everfrost shows conditional priorities, openers, fillers, and situational abilities. It does not cast spells, select a live next ability, or evaluate combat resources, procs, target health, or enemy counts. Read the hover guidance and decide which abilities apply.

Supported classes

Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. All 27 talent trees and nine general leveling profiles are included. Characters above level 30 receive a scope notice.

Getting started

Install the Everfrost folder into Interface/AddOns and type /everfrost in game. Hover an icon for its conditions, hover the header for profile notes, and drag the header to move the panel.

If upgrading from ForeverRetHelper or ForeverGuide, remove the old addon folder to avoid duplicate panels. Previous settings are not migrated.

Useful commands

  • /everfrost — show the panel
  • /everfrost hide — hide the panel
  • /everfrost single or /everfrost aoe — select encounter mode
  • /everfrost heal or /everfrost damage — select a healing-specialization view
  • /everfrost cat or /everfrost bear — select a Feral view
  • /everfrost ranged or /everfrost melee — select a Survival view
  • /everfrost spec auto or /everfrost spec 1, 2, or 3 — select automatic or manual talent-tree detection
  • /everfrost scale 1.2 — adjust scale (0.6–2)
  • /everfrost lock or /everfrost unlock — control dragging
  • /everfrost refresh — refresh metadata outside combat
  • /everfrost source — show the active guide link
  • /everfrost status — show diagnostic information

Survival melee requires level 30 and learned Strider Kick. Feral defaults to Bear before Cat Form is learned, or caster guidance before either form is available. Metadata changes during combat are deferred until combat ends.

Beta status and limitations

Version 0.4.0 targets interface 16001. Lua 5.1 syntax checks and simulated-client regression tests pass, but actual Forever client compatibility, visual rendering, and saved-setting persistence remain unverified. Some Forever-specific spells require an English spellbook. This is manually maintained guidance, not a live guide feed.
